Seems like most of the posts I've read about trailers being taken were from people who had them parked at their homes. Never had one bothered in about 20 years, or other vehicles either. But I still carry insurance on the vehicles, old habits die hard I guess.

If I were to replace mine, thats the one I would get. Locksmiths I've talked to have said the barrel locks are the best deterent cause they are harder to pick. Just make sure you keep a spare key nearby, especially with the conical types.

But as stated, nothing keeps everybody honest. BTW, NEVER leave our trailer without it on!

We have the AMPlock LPCFVR. Since we have the Pullrite slider with the wedge, it is the LPCFVRS model Extremely heavy duty. We are very happy with it. We accidently ordered the non wedge version. They knew exactly which one we needed and sent us the packaging to return it. The sent us the right version. We have had no issues. The key and lock work great. If you want heavy duty I recommend this one.

Definitely take a look at Fort Knox; they're not light, inexpensive, or made in China. I'm pretty sure that it'll require a great deal of effort and some power tools to break off the one I keep on my Goose Box.

We use the same one. Good enough for our application.
