    CP4 is gone!

Recall work done Thurs-Fri. Picked it up today - about 100 miles from dealer to home. Smoother and more responsive to throttle. So far I'd say the trucks performance is much better. I'll go out on a limb and say my fuel mileage appears to have improved also.

Excellent. Is that only a 3500 recall?

Thanks for the positive update on your install.

As a former CP4 owner I am glad you were able to get rid of yours. I really commend Ram for recognizing the issue and stepping up in a big way to fix it. Do you know what they replaced it with?

It's referred to as a CP3.3 - so not quite the same as the CP3 in the pre-2019 models. Personally, I am totally shocked that RAM has done this but very happy that they did.

How long did it take them to get the parts? I was told I had to bring the truck by so they could get a part number off the engine.

They had the kit in stock and I never had to take the truck in. I think there are some complications with the 2019s though - see the R&R procedure here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/202...1V880-5163.pdf

^^^The 19’s are not yet being repaired as the ecm software is different then the 2020’s and FCA hasn’t got it figured out yet. Although I’ve read others have had their pumps replaced with no issues while others have had problems. One owner stated Ram told the dealer to remove the revised pump and put his old equipment back on. It’s specifically mentioned in the recall service bulletin to the dealers not to repair the 19’s yet. Why some dealers ignore that is beyond me.
