Take delivery or not?
Please put me at ease, we're scheduled to take delivery Saturday of a 2023 260RD, from posts I'm seeing over the last week on FB with frame/suspension and roof issues I am deeply concerned we're stepping into a hornets nest... what the heck has happened to the quality of GD trailers! I understand there will always be issues with every manufacturer but there seems to be a reoccurring theme with GD models.
Kind of leaning towards bailing on purchasing a GD trailer at this time!

Remember, what you're hearing are all complaints. And the number of new customers is through the roof, so for every one you read about, there are many, many more that have few, if any, issues. Buying an RV, any RV, is a bit of a crapshoot: you roll the dice and sometimes you roll a seven, and sometimes it's snake eyes. Do your due diligence, and hope for the best.

Remember that for every unhappy owner posting about their issues that there are who knows how many satisfied owners out camping. We have had no major, and few minor, issues with our 2021 22RBE. Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

My suggestion is to take a PDI list with you at time of pickup and don't sign any papers or exchange any money until you are satisfied with the trailer. There are lots of PDI lists around and a good dealer will do their best to make your new purchase satisfactory to you at time of delivery. Good luck.

Before buying another brand go to that brands forum and see what is being said about them.

We had plenty of warranty issues out of the gate and GD stood behind their product and fixed it. Most of ours were with 3rd party equipment - fridge, fireplace, etc.

I'm not sure why anyone would make any decision based on anything they see/read on FB. For me that is just about the worst place to gather reliable information.
I think the decision comes down to - do you want an RV or not. If yes, get it. If you don't care to RV then just pass.
If you keep working about what might happen then maybe RVing isn't for you. Stuff will happen, mostly small things, sometimes big things; but they will happen.Larry KE4DMG
