Electric Fireplace, how many amps does it draw?

We have a 2020 Solitude Model 344GK and I can’t locate anything in the manaul we received about how many amps the fireplace uses.

I think they are around 1500 watts, so that would put it about 12.5 amps.

Here is the formula for figuring that out....for any electrical device. Wattage/Voltage = Current. 1500/120 = 12.5 amps

Just to clarify, that doesn’t apply for ANY electrical device.

The most common things you’ll find where it doesn’t are inductive loads like motors. If your power factor is close to one, W and VA are interchangeable, but it’s not unusual to have a 500W motor that draws 6A while running. This gets to be a problem with sizing generators.

1500 heater, plus the blower that moves the heat around, and the fancy lights that suppose to look like flames.

They have a label on the back that'll tell you, but if you don't want to remove the fireplace, most of them are labeled at 12.5 amps. They're on a 15 amp circuit in the trailer.
