Time to take the stickers off...

Not sure how many times I've walked around the RV but it hit me today - the Tire Linc, weather guard, or Lionshead stickers staring at me. Not sure how I didn't see them of peel them off before. They came off pretty easily but of course left a residue of glue. Probably needs to be waxed anyway but what's safe to use to get the residual glue off? Dealer left the bright orange service sticker on and came out with some spray stuff to get the glue off. Nothing I have is spray - the usual goo-off, etc.
    Thanks,
    John

WD40 should do a good job of removing the residual glue left over with no ill effect to the RV. What doesn't that stuff do????

I had to get some glue off my truck's dash from some Velcro I had on it. WD40 turned out to be the best. I never tried WD40 for that before but remember reading somewhere that it did a good job. Sure-'nuff; the glue came off fine with no damage to the dash.

And now that you mention it, I should probably remove the stickers about the suspension. I'm headed to MorRyde in Oct for an IS.

I have some other brand name sticker on my tire skirting. TorsionFlex or something? I changed them out to MorRyde about 4 years ago but an going up to MorRyde in October to get the IS installed.

Careful with the stuff. It'll remove paint and glue residue, but I wouldn't put it on plastic or fiberglass as I've found it will discolor a lot of different materials. Ditto for Goof Off.

yeah.... good luck with that plan.... I'll ask... ya never know....

I'll be brining back the SRE4000, X-brace and wet bolts & shackles - maybe a good re-sale and I can recoup some of my $$$

Goof Off works too. We use it on our boats (over 30 yrs) to get the registration decal residue off after 2 years of adherence on a lake. Works great on fiberglass and doesn't require much effort, also works on stubborn bug and tar removal on autos too.

Never had any leftover paint discoloration on our yellow Crownline, white Regal/Kawasaki/etc., or car finishes. Of course, only used it for stubborn marks (from bugs, adhesive, bouy marks, dock bumpers, lake grime residue, tar, etc.). However. Fiberglass/gelcoat surface layers can become porous over time and will discolor eventually if not maintained, inwhich case any remover may possibly stain it.

What generally works well for getting the sticker and most of the adhesive off is a hair dryer or heat gun (careful with the latter as to not BBQ the surface). Even some heat on the residual glue usually makes it easier to remove.
