Portable 12V chest freezer
After my Alaska trip and trying to figure out how to get frozen fish home, and now planning a Christmas Mississippi trip where I want to swing to the coast for shrimp, red fish, etc, and catfish I am thinking of getting a good 55qt to 100 qt 12V chest freezer
Folks have recommended this before to me. What is a good brand and model that can survive being hauled around. Lots of models out there, but I have never heard of most brands and reviews are all over the place.
So what's working for you and what should I stay away from.

I have an Iceco brand 50 something quart. Haven't had it for long, but it has been plugged in since we received it. It's 12v or AC. It seems to fluctuate 3*.
Have taken it for a ride to Costco (1.5 hrs one way) & has kept everything frozen or near it-bottom is coldest as heat rises. Plan on taking it on our trip next week to Astoria Or. Will tie it down in the basement plugged into the Bluetti.
Cools fast (1/2 hr.) to 38* It is heavy. They have 'em with wheels. Came with a nice cover.Paul, Sue & Wonder Dog Zane

Have an ICECO for a year and it works great! Have used it as fridge only, freezer only, and combo and it's not missed a beat. Great in the truck for when we visit a brewery or cidery or in the coach when we need more space. Have even used it for cookouts over traditional cooler. Being able to power DC or AC is perfect.

I just saw this and thought it might be of help to you during evaluation.
I know nothing of this unit as it is not on my current wish list.

I just ran across this Labor Day deal https://icecofreezer.com/products/co...oss-compressor for $843.04 including shipping. Bad customer service reviews and shipping damaged a common issue. No Bluetooth Any issues like this from folks that have this brand.
The other deal is for the Dometic CFX3 75DZ Powered Cooler 75 Liter with the Dometic Protective Cover for CFX3 75DZ for $1325.93 including shipping and tax. Its a little bigger with a bit better reviews. The Iceco is a bit taller.
I wont need until Christmas and I m wondering about waiting for Black Friday?

My ICECO arrived double boxed. HEAVY inner with Styrofoam surrounding the unit, and midweight outer box with sheet Styrofoam between the inner and out boxes fitting like a glove. Had no need to contact customer service, but they did check-in via email about a week after delivery to see if all was well. On the one year anniversary they sent a 20% off the thermal blanket for the unit. They run very good sales 4x a year.

To update this I ordered a Dometic CFX3 75DZ ttps://www.dometic.com/en-us/outdoor/food-and-beverage/coolers/electric-coolers/dometic-cfx3-75dz-220585 Found a great Labor Day sale with free shipping and low sales tax. For most places I found the sales tax was calculated wrong, thinking I am in the city which I am not. Also watch out for shipping rates - a few scams out there.
Be for ordering I called the dealer to make sure they were legit and researched the site
I went this way based on reviews and warranty, and Dometic customer service should anything go wrong.
