What did you do to your Grand Design today?

Nothing major... just had to repair the overbed lights for the 3rd and hopefully final time. GD did a terrible job on the length of wire that they left on the splices under the slideout bed storage box... another 10" longer and the wire splices wouldn't have the bed box sliding out over top of them and pulling them apart. This time I cut the bottom of the bed storage box frame about 3/4“ up from the floor to allow it to slide over the splices and go in & out without catching on the wirenuts and pulling them apart.

This is the way the factory splices look.



This is the area I marked out with painters tape and cut out with a vibration cutter tool.




This notch now allows the newly secured wire splices to have the slideout slide in & out over them... without ripping them apart!

Well, the wife stepped on what she thought was a step beside the bed and it crumbled under her feet to expose the black tank flush hose...

So badly trashed not sure I can put it back together

Not a fix or upgrade but that is what was done to our RV today

Washed it. Driving on the Amish roads in the wet sure puts up a lot of "stuff" from horse drawn carriages. Straw and "stuff" was caked on the wheel wells, wheels, and on the jack mounts. eweee......

I got to use my foaming sprayer (pump tank - not pressure washer mounted), and rinsed with my CRC spotless system - nice not having to wipe it down but still a lot of work.

Spent a crapload of money detailing out my solar and inverter upgrade.

All that’s left to purchase is the inverter, communication cables Cerbo, display and ac wire. All the DC and solar stuff purchased. Not looking forward to running that ac line. Drop the chloroplast time soon. 🥲
