Dual pane windows on the Solitude 310GK add 350 lbs. per the design team at Grand Design. This is due to the vast amount of glass in the 310GK. Our Whirlpool stackable washer and dryer combine at just a little over 200lbs (the majority of it being the washer, of course). That would add up to a little over 550 lbs. There are many other things to consider, though, such as whether or not you have slide toppers, solar panels on the roof, a generator, and the type and number of batteries you have (our 4 100 Ah LiFePO4 batteries weigh about the same as two lead-acid batteries). We won't even go into whether or not you are full-time, how you load (how much "stuff" you like to have with you), etc. A full fresh water tank on the 310 adds up to 672 lbs. The list goes on...

I don't have any "official" connections with anyone at GD - I just had a couple of lengthy phone conversations with them prior to ordering our unit "our way." We have visited and toured the factory, but that was before we knew we were ordering the Solitude and just gave us a more general insight into things.

    Dual pane windows

For the OP, the dual panes are definitely worth it IMHO.
Thank you , I’m ordering them
