    Would You Tow a 2022 320MKS with a 2022 F250 Lariat 6.7?

I'm curious to see some opinions on here as I do see the combo a little bit in the campgrounds. I have an 18 F350 Platinum that is having some issues and the dealership wants my truck, they only have new f250 lariats though.

What does the payload sticker say?
Also what is the loaded pin weight of your rig

As @NB Canada asked, have you had your rig across the scales? Our Reflection 337 (same GVWR as your 320MKS) put 3,000 lbs. on the pin loaded. It was at the limit of our GMC Sierra 2500HD diesel, and it was rear wheel drive only - didn't have the added weight of 4WD. We also don't both travel in the truck while towing since my wife drives a car behind on travel days. With your trailer, I personally wouldn't consider stepping down to a 3/4-ton truck. You would also be ensuring that you couldn't move to a larger or heavier fifth wheel without buying another truck. In the end, if you know the actual pin weight of your trailer and the truck has enough payload for that, you and your family, a hitch and gear, the decision is yours.

As @Second Chance and @NB Canada have asked above, the payload capacity is what I would be concerned with.

We have a 2021 320MKS and 3 personally wouldn't pull it with a 3/4 ton. We have a 1 ton crew cab, 4x4 with a 8' bed so our CCC is around 3300 lbs.

The pin weight, the last time I weighed the rig, was 2830 lbs.

You will be over your payload. With that being said, I've been pulling a 337 which has about the same pin weight as yours with a 2018 F250. No problems, but I also have air bags. You will have a little squat. My wireless Airlift compressor went out a few years ago when I started my trip out west. I was loaded down with supplies, full auxiliary tank, etc., it wasn't terrible, but I sure missed them.

You realize that air bags do not change payload ratings, right?

Not only do air bags NOT increase the payload numbers, they actually reduce the payload numbers! The total amount of weight that they are, including a compressor if you have one for them, go against the listed payload capacity.....could be maybe 30 lbs or so, or if the compressor and tank are there, it could be 75 or 80 lbs of payload reduction. And the aux. tank is another big weight hog in reducing the payload capacity of the truck. You are likely overloaded.

Guys, I wasn't saying that airbags increase payload. No where in my post did I mentioned that I increased my payload with airbags. I'll make sure not to mention "airbags" again. LOL.

Ed, I really wanted a F250 gasser, but succumbed to the insane torque of diesel. I learned the diesel cuts payload by 700 ish pounds. So the F350 Platinum payload starts around 4k and with diesel it drops to 3300 ish. The F250 diesel payload is likely around 1600. This is within 100 lbs of my F150 platinum payload. Based on this, I went with F350 diesel. If I ever considered an F250 now, it would be gasser for this reason alone.

Your trailer has the same weights as our 2020 337 and when you start loading it up it can get heavy real fast. Have you been on a scale with your trailer? Previous to my current F350 dually I had a 2012 F250 diesel with airbags. Great truck. Pulled a Heartland Sundance with it for 7 years full time. We were 700-800 pounds over GVWR and no problems. Got the new 337 and it had about 500 pounds more pin weight. The F250 still worked great but as we left Rapid City SD on back roads in 50 mile an hour wind I knew I wanted a bigger truck. When I put the 337 and 250 on the scale it was pushing a one tone truck GVWR. Skipped the F350 SRW and went to the dually. It is great. My trailer has 3000 pounds on the pin and 10,100 on the two axels. So I am a little over 13,000 pounds on a 13,999 GVWR. We are full time so way different from weekenders. If you are always hauling an empty trailer then the F250 would work.

In my opinion you do not want to go from a 350 to a 250 for your trailer.

They have raised the GVWR on new Ford trucks so you would need to run the numbers.
