Light above kitchen sink dilemma solved

My wife and I love our Imagine 2670MK but we hated that it did not have a light above the sink. Well I came up with a very easy and relatively inexpensive fix for it. My wife wanted a nicer light above the dining room table so I bought a nice light with a burlap shade that matched the interior of the trailer from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I then moved the old dining table light to above the sink. I figured there must be electric right there because the vent has an electric fan. So I took the four screws off that hold the trim ring on the vent and sure enough the electric 12Volt wires were right there. I just poked a hole in the roof under where I was going to mount the light and fed the wire in and connected them to the existing wires with clamps then screwed the light onto the ceiling with the screws it came with. Very easy and quick. What is nice is there is a cross beam right there so if we decided to get a nicer light in the future it can be secured to a wood crossbeam. As a matter of fact be sure to poke your hole on the proper side of the beam else you won't be able to get to the wire. This is the light I was thinking of some day if we decide we want a nicer light. There should be plenty of room for it. http://www.itc-rv.com/product/mirage...-bulb-dinette/

My wife really likes it. It adds a little extra look versus the boring light it came with.

    Dale,
Is the new dining room light as bright as the old one? I would like to replace, but it may need to be just as bright.
    thanks,
    Lorna

It is not as bright but it is still bright enough for what we need it for.

Dale, would it be bright enough to do a puzzle? or can the bulbs be replaced?

Love it. I was just complaining last week that there was not a light over the kitchen sink and trying to decide what to do about it. I think you have come up with the answer. Thank you.

It is definitely bright enough to do a puzzle. I can use it for reading and working with the check book. I don't think you can change out the bulbs, I haven't really looked at that.

Not a problem, it really makes a big difference when you are working at the sink and it is such an easy fix.
