Nahh didn’t effect it at all.
Their is a check valve on the inlet and on the pump itself.

Yes, the inlet does have a check valve but it is in-going (blocks out-going) so can still suck air if conditions are "right"

I had this problem with a pump on my previous TT after just two trips. My research showed that it could have been sand or other particles in the pump. I replaced the pump and it solved the problem.

Just a side-note....

My "blue" Nautilus valve assembly was cross-threaded from the assembler. It came apart twice in two years because the threads were permanently damaged causing the pump to suck a lot of air. individual valve assemblies (from the OEM and/or General RV) were $120!!. I finally hose-clamped the assembly together so it could not come apart....No more air in the pump.

One more side-note...

We use our nautilus to suck water from a wheeled water cart into the fresh water tank (the "Sanitize to fresh water tank" option). When the "Blue valve" came apart there was NO water being sucked into the pump, only air.

I called the "Nautilus" people who referred me to the B & B Plastics Company that actually molds the valves. The assembly includes a three-way valve and two attachment connectors. I was quoted $120 with a lead time because none were in-stock. A couple of days later I saw the exact same assembly on the shelf at General RV in Brownstown, Michigan. The price tag was $119.95. Same difference. These little valves and connectors cost pennies to make. Talk about mark-up!!!

Like I posted previously. it was a simple fix to use Teflon tape and reassemble the fitting into the valve, and then us one or two hose clamps to wrap around the assembly to keep pressure from pushing the damaged threads apart. The system sucks water up from the water cart better than it ever did. Sad that we are being gouged for trying to buy replacement plastic valve parts that cost pennies to make...

If you have air anywhere in the water pressurized system this can happen.
For example shower connections or in the hot water tank.
In my case it was a long water line to the back of my 297RSTS
to a outside shower connection. A very small amount of air is all it takes.

A good first step is to flush all lines and the hot water tank to see if that stops it.
Otherwise the pressure valve on the pump may be bad.

No drips, no leaks we covered the entire plumbing system.
Every 3 minutes the pump rumbles on for a half second.
2 month old 2020 GD Momentum.

Any tips tales or takes to cure this?

I do not own a momentum, have a 2019 imagine. Had the same symptom. Couldn’t figure out what it was for 6 months. Got to where it would come on more frequently. Finally heard something Hissing inside the wall. There was a very slow drip outside the bedroom door. When installing bedroom paneling, they shot a staple and missed the stud and found pay dirt in the shower water supply line. Guess it rattled enough through use it’s started leaking worse. So you could have a leak inside the walls, and that won’t be easy to troubleshoot. Hopefully it’s something else in your case.

OK check this out.
The problem sounded like the Shark Jaws Theme in the middle of the night.
The duration of the pumping got longer and frequency got more and more until finally the pump stayed on continuously.

Dealer replaced the pump and all was good for a week.
Now the problem has returned with a vengeance.
Can't find a leak anyplace.

I'm thinking to replace the pump with a premium model.
One of those multi-stage quiet pumps.

Thinking water is migrating back through the pumps
discharge diaphragm. Maybe a piston style will eliminate this.

The Surflo is notorious for poor quality and leaks.

Under this screw is an Allen screw to adjust pressure slight turn left or right could fixe it give it a shot much cheaper than a pump

My vote is still one of your Nautilus panel valves leaking by. You wouldn't see a water leak anywhere, it is just water being redirected somewhere else. If you're going through the warranty process I would ask the dealer to look into leak testing the Nautilus panel to ensure all valves seat properly in both positions of each valve. I doubt it is a water pump problem if the same thing is happening with a different water pump.
