Exclamation 2022 Momentum 397THS Main Room TV Mount

We have found our TV in the main room extended on the arm after every travel day. Upon further review, we also noticed the TV/arm is slightly leaning forward from the wall as a result of it being mounted to a flimsy panel which appears to have no bracing around the TV mount itself.

I was curious if anyone else has experienced this and how they addressed it. It seems like a design problem to hang a 50" TV on a mount without proper bracing. In the short term I am going to install some loops and a bungee in the cabinet to try to stop the swing, but will likely try to sort out how to brace this up long-term.

    Thanks!

There is a good chance the bracket wasnt mounted correctly. If you get a strong magnet you can run it across the wall in the general area of the bracket and see where the bacjing plate is located. GD typically uses a metal backing plate for the TV mount unless they have changed recently.

I have that same problem with my 349M and the big TV. It usually sort of snaps into the holder on the back, but it's really flimsy and also leans forward like yours.

My garage TV (which I upsized) had an even worse problem. If it came loose, it would swing downward and probably break off it if came loose. So GD put a nylon strap around it that had to be reattached each time we travelled. I thought that was dumb, so I built a push pin attachment to secure the bracket that positively locates the pivot arm in a fixed position. I'd like to do that to the big TV, but haven't yet since I'm not sure I could reach back in there to put the pin in.
