Since the PV short circuit rating is 10amps I am wondering if the breaker should only be 10amps? I read on one of the question/answers on Amazon where the company said to be careful not to allow the circuit breaker to exceed the rating of the panels. The max power of the panel is 8.82amps.

Bill,
A 15AMP circuit breaker will handle 180watts at 12 volts. Since the solar panel is 165watts, and I don't plan on adding anymore, I think I am going to add a 15AMP breaker on the supply as well as the battery line so I can completely shut off the electric to the controller. This is the one I think I am going to use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...35U6S8IT&psc=1
Thanks for the help and advice.
