Question Rock Guards for my Alaska trip

Planning an Alaska trip next year and dont want the front of my Reflection banged up.

I currently have DuraFlap https://duraflap.com on my current dually. They do a good job, but do not offer full protection. I am considering them (rear) for my new truck SRW. They make a long extended no drill model now. Gatorback is another option.

I want to protect the front of my trailer as best as possible!

In my travels I have seen a lot of tow vehicle rock guards.

    https://www.campingworld.com/smart-s...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

    https://realtruck.com/p/towtector-me...CABEgI45vD_BwE

All of the above seem to work, but have one big issue - they all appear to sag over time - especially the single top tube mounted ones like the rock tamers. The Broom style seem to sail pretty high too while traveling offering a bit less protection.

Then I ran across this brand
https://www.agricover.com/mud-flaps/ ROCKSTAR™ HITCH MOUNTED MUD FLAPS

Is anyone using this the Rockstar units? Seems to be of a very sturdy construction. Even though I tow a 5th wheel I will need to install a ball shank to attach. Same applies to all of the above.

All of the models will also interfere with the back up sensors too. Was hoping to have them functional when the trailer is not attached.

    Thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks

We don't have rock guards, but do have "regular" mud flaps.

The rigs outfitted with rock guards on our Alaska/Yukon RV caravan wound up with more damage than ours. The roads in Alaska/Yukon are not all that smooth. Often just oiled gravel, or packed dirt. The rock "guards" would drag the ground and flip rocks up and into the trailers behind.

The best protection we saw was someone had put metal diamond plate sheets on the lower front of his rig and it took all the punishment.

Anything made by Agricover is quality and thoughtfully designed. They also stand behind their products and constantly work to improve them. While I don't have the Rockstar, I wanted it after seeing in person. Unfortunately, with my RAM having the folding bed step, their mounting system cannot be used unless the step is removed. That's a no go for me.

If you have a buddy that welds, you can make up a very nice setup that won't sag and can be receiver mounted. I really need to do this for my dually. Just haven't gotten around to it. Lol

I have the rockstar guard on my 2021 3500 GMC Denali. I love it. It mounts under the rear bumper using existing factory bumper mounting bolts. You mount two brackets to the bumper and the guard attaches with clips. Easy on and easy to take off. It’s made of a heavy gage aluminum coated with a thick rubber compound. My truck has the fold down step tailgate. This is the only guard I found that doesn’t interfere with the steps, rear cameras or sensors. It also extends about 3 or 4 inches past the width of my truck for extra protection. Our Solitude is the wide body so guard just about covers the full width. Excellent customer service. I recommend it.
