I also carry a couple brass shutoff valves to replace the dump valves if they ever start to leak.
I couldn't find a short piece of red at Lowes that day but I see Home Depot has some so I will go and pick that up and sling it in the basement!

Great post, thanks for motivating me to put together my own kit. More and more I'm getting to know that one can't be too over-prepared. If I can fix it myself, disaster averted and we can enjoy the trip rather than wait for help.

Exactly. If I am on a three day quick break or long weekend I don't want to waste time going to/from a DIY/hardware store.

I'm with you @Groover. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. I put together the "Trouble Tub" for plumbing, roof repair, electrical, flat tire. Never had the occasion to use any of it yet but better safe than sorry. Was able to fit everything less the pex in a little storage box from Harbor Freight.

If I have a problem with any of the flex hose in my camper it is going to be replaced with PEX.

Aside from it not having any actual PEX pieces, does anyone see any serious drawbacks to a repair kit like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CCH5JWG...ing=UTF8&psc=1

That's exactly what I bought. Seems really nice. I added brass fittings and a few fuel injection style hose clamps just to cover the bases.

These things should come with a disaster kit in the paperwork bag. I ended up going from the North Rim AZ to Kanab UT to purchase mine
