No sealant needed. The existing holes are in the correct positions.

Hi Terry, I was just under my 25G to see about relocating my battery to the same place you did. However the coroplast underbelly is well sealed in that area (tons of spray foam to remove).

Did you have to drop your underbelly to get the battery cables into the bed area or did you come up with another method?

Just wanted to brainstorm before I re-invent the wheel.

    Cheers
    Tim

Hey Tim. I came into the generator compartment following the cable routes that were already there. I drilled holes in the floor of the compartment. Then I drilled holes in the side of the gen compartment and fed the cables around to where the battery is. I wrapped the cables in wire loom to protect them from the edges of the metal where they go thru the side of the gen compartment.

I used the power from the existing white led strip under the front camp side steps on the trailer. Mounted the bluetooth controllers in the front storage compartment. Absolutely imperative that you clean the area the strips will attach alcohol and then use the 3M adhesion promoter. There is a phone app that controls all the functions. I pretty much stick to the solid colors or the red, white and blue chasing to go with the general theme of the trailer leds. I also have an led US flag and some red white and blue led half fans I use on the patio railing. We love the look.

Also made an led bucket light using a programmable RGB light bulb. Lots of light and doesn't attract bugs.

Thank you for figuring out what was wrong with the coax wiring! I now can find over the air channels!

I do have a question about the underbody LED install. Is that the actual kit you ordered? In the description it states that it is for indoor use only.....

They've changed the product associated with that link to a different light set than it was when I ordered. Sorry about that. Here's a link to a waterproof kit.

I appreciate the info! I just wanted to make sure to order the right set. It was luck that I spotted that the set in that listing was indoor use only. I have been lurking around, following your build for quite some time. I finally have some time to start working on my 2021 29G so I will probably have more questions for you in the future.

I'll give you a couple of options. First, I keep hearing that Grand Design is sending them out for free if you need them. Definitely worth a try.

Cheapest but out of stock right now are these from RecPro.

Here is the link to them at Lippert but they are ridiculously expensive.

This is quite simply one of the best and most well put together threads anywhere on the forum. If you have not yet seen his videos, they're also very well done.
