Poll- How Accurate is Sherline Tongue Weight Scale

It is important to be near the mid-range of the scale to get accurate measurements. So the LM-1000 will be best between 300 and 700 lbs. My understanding is that you can change scale range by just changing the gauge. The hydraulic body of the unit is the same. You also have to be careful not to have any side load which will cause the scale to produce inaccurate readings.

Interesting fact. I am using the 1000 scale and getting readings around 900 lbs. Curious to know where you heard the mid-range accuracy statement. I might have to step up to the 2000 lb replacement scale.

The Sherline website advises that their scales are most accurate in the mid-range of the gauge.
