    337 or 303 roof with solar pics

    Getting ready for 4 each 170 watt panels wiring 2s2p and wanted to see where you all are mounting them.

    This combination is roughly 40v and 20a so thought using the Victron 100/30 would be ok.

    Thanks,
    Jim and Belinda H. Pa.

    Thanks,
    Jim - I think Paul @Poppy's 5th Wheel installed solar on his 337 a few years ago. Maybe PM him if he does not respond and I am sure he will share details/pictures. Hopefully others will chime in too. At the outset, I do not recall any 303 owners with solar but I am sure there are a few out here.

    Thanks, just as a note I will be backing down the panel watts to 500 or so if I keep the 100/30.....debating on exchanging for the 50a.....

    Out of curiosity, how did you manage battery connections? Did you leave the factory battery connections for converter in tact and double lugs up on the battery?

    Guess I should follow up. So many posts.....

    Went with 4 180w panels. If you look in center you will see some tape. I originally had a panel there but it kept
    getting shaded. So moved. Also went with the 100/50 and glad I did.

    Correct. Didn’t mess with the converter at all. Just tied solar into battery connections.

    @Justa5th

    Where did you drop the wires down, and what route did you go to feed them to the pass thru bay?

    Thank you

    Thank you
    I dropped them down between the back wall of the “hutch” and bathroom. There was already a vent stack on the roof. I moved over several inches from that and drilled a hole in the roof. If you remove the bathroom fan trim ring you can see into the attic to get a better idea where to drill.

    Would it be safe to assume that I can drop the wires right down to the enclosed bay area?
    Thanks
