I’ll keep you guys posted on the outcome.
    I realize this thread is a year old and not sure if the OP @ArcticJ or @Joe2001686 are still on the forum however I'd be interested in knowing what, if any resolution/answers you received back from GD on this? My 2021 22MLE developed the exact same flex of the metal cross piece, thereby causing a dent in the lower front cap. Cracks are now forming where the metal has buckled. See attached pics. I doubt it was caused from excessive heat (located in Canada) and my pass through storage does not contain any significant heavy objects other that the usual water/sewer/electrical totes, couple lawn chairs, etc. Tools, generator, fuel, etc. are all carried in the truck box. Only extra weight on the tongue comes from 2 - 6 volt batteries vs 1 - 12 volt. I do have another issue with broken welds and a cracked frame that I will post in a new thread although these only showed up on a recent trip. Thanks for any comments.

    I just read this thread now that you’ve revived it and went out to check mine but no problems. The OP has an XLS, not sure about Joe but it looks like it, and you have an XLS.

    I’m interested to know too.

    Have you contacted GD or are you waiting to get a reply from this thread first?

    I'm waiting for some replies here and also to a broken weld/cracked frame issue (that I just posted in a new thread) before contacting GD.

    This looks different than what you posted about your frame cracks.

    Those pictures both look like something got caught and pulled that frame member forward. It's like they backed over something.

    I would have like to know if there was any sagging on the upper part of that frame member (which, likely, would indicate too much load on it).

    I don't think we're going to hear from the OP(s).

    I agree. They are two separate issues. The cross metal piece was already bent before the broken welds/frame cracks issue. That's why I posted those in a new thread.

    Perhaps not but thought I'd give it a try to see if they might respond.

    @diventure
    ah - so you have both the cracked frame/welds AND the bent metal piece?

    Yes, both issues. I've had a reply regarding stress caused by tight backing turns. I'm wondering if that might be what caused both of these issues.

    That was me - the part about backing and stresses.

    So.... does your bent member sag? Or is it just bent?

    I'm going to guess it is so light weight that the frame flexes when taking tight turns and then bends that piece of metal.
