    New tow vehicle

So I decided on the new tow vehicle. It was a long and tiring debate internally, over the SRW or DRW. Lon or short box.... so many decisions. But what it came down to is the amount I will be actually towing and the fact that the TV is an every day driver.
My wife and I decided, and purchased the 2020 f350 SRW with a short box. It has 22,000 total towing and a payload on the sticker of 3520. Not much room on the payload for pin weight + everything else, I know but the airbags will assist with the load distribution.
The ford has the the new 10 speed transmission, so I think that will be nice.

I'm pulling a new 368wb Solitude Fifth Wheel.

    What do you all think?

Sounds like a really nice truck. Is the 368WB a Reflection or Solitude or??? Trailer or 5th wheel? Sorry, I looked around a bit on the GD web site but couldn't find that model number.

I better not show my DW this thread. We just went through the family "discussion" on SRW vs DRW. We just bought a Solitude 344GK and I went with a DRW and justified our purchase using the "more stable and safe theory.; She wasn't sold lol.

I will miss my F250 - it has been my favorite truck...I'm still in mourning.

It's my understanding the airbags will reduce the squat of the rear of the truck and provide a little more stability, but as far as I know they don't distribute load. Someone please chime in if I'm missing something.

I looked on the app and could not find a 368 Solitude either. My opinion only here but I think a Solitude is a big load for any SRW truck. I had a SRW F350 previously with payload of 3597# and was pretty much maxed out on payload and RAWR pulling our Reflection 367BHS fifth wheel. Current truck is a F350 DRW with 5507 payload and air bags.

The OP updated his signature with a Solitude 382WB. I think that's what he meant as there is no Solitude 368WB. The Solitude 310GK can be done with an SRW if neither are overloaded but the rest of the Solitudes are larger and heavier. I used a DRW for my Solitude 373FB-R.

There used to be a 368 with a rear kitchen but that's been gone since 2015 or 16.
