    New Imagine Aim 15RB

Just wanted to say hello. My wife and I just purchased a new Imagine Aim 15RB. We're supposed to do a walkthrough and pick it up next week. I cannot seem to find any documentation on the hitch size for the Imagine Aim 15RB. Does anybody out there happen to know?

We have a 2021 22RBE and it has a 2 5/16" hitch. I would be very surprised if yours is different. You could always buy a 2" ball also and return the one you don't use. Welcome to the forum!

When he checks the forum tomorrow, @huntr70 can probably tell you the ball size for the Imagine Aim 15RB - but I think @alias100 is right.

    New to Forum

I can't seem to figure out how to post a post outside of this "New Membership Introduction" section. I don't see any options for that. :-( But, while I'm here, what's the general consensus out there for using a weight distribution hitch? I see they can be pretty expensive. I'm new to this activity so I'm easily swayed by the sellers. If anybody has a recommendation, that would be great. The 15RB is only about 3500 lbs with a tongue weight < 400 lbs.

The tongue weight will and should be north of 500 pounds

A regular hitch platform generally is only rated for 3500/350 pounds

You will need a heavier platform anyway which are expensive

A hitch is one of the most important parts of rv,ing
It shouldn’t be done cheap imo

Depending on the tow vehicle you will likely need to reload the front axle when hitched

Only a 3/4 ton,1ton is generally unaffected by smaller loads

The other benefit of a quality hitch is sway control which can be useful in smaller single axle trailers where load distribution can be challenging

    What is your tow vehicle?

Thank you! After more reading and reviewing, I'm going to get a sway control/weight distribution hitch recommended.

Now you get to decide which one to get. The only thing (almost) everyone on the forum will agree on is that you should not have the dealer install the hitch. Good Luck!
