Zion to Bryce Canyon

We’re leaving Zion River Resort in virgin, Utah to Bryce Canyon. We found out the hard way we couldn’t go through the tunnel in Zion. Does anyone know the best alternate route to Bryce?

Yep, we just drove it two days ago. ZRR back towards La Verkin, then 17 north to the Interstate 15. Take I-15 all the way to exit 95, which is Rt. 20 and turn right onto 20. Follow that all the way to 89 then turn right and head south until you get to Rt. 12. Take Rt. 12 all the way to Bryce City or wherever you are staying over there. We are at Ruby's right now, and will be leaving tomorrow.

His Solitude is too tall...........13'5", it the same height as my Momentum triple axle so no way through the tunnel. We went through the tunnel the other day with just the truck (Dually) and we had to get the $15 permit because we were just over the 94" width......96". And honestly, I'm glad we did, it would have been very tight staying in your lane with something that wide..

You're welcome. I had someone suggest that route for me on another forum when I was planning our trip. I am happy it worked out for you......now enjoy the beautiful area of Bryce Canyon, it is spectacular.
