There is a heat strip option for the Furrion A/C. I don't know how well it works since I have no experience with it.

I also agree with that, as truckers by law have to rest after so many active hours, but many truck stops have RV specific spaces.

I don't see why you would get flamed. With the crazy cost of campgrounds these days, I also look for the most cost effective way to camp.

These are only two documented failures, and I have seen many more from Westlakes that have never been on the ground. I am not here to argue, you have your opinions and beliefs and I have mine. As I have already stated, I'm glad that your tires are working out for you problem free.

It definitely does, but that is not an excuse for the poor quality of these tires. I also had Lionshead replace two of mine due to belt separation after only a couple of hundred miles before I got the chance to replace all five of mine.

You are entitled to your opinion and guarantee even though the general consensus does not seem to agree. I'm glad your Westlakes are working out for you.

If you regularly travel in 100+ degrees (with the road temps in excess of 140) like we do in the southern US, you would not have such good luck with your crappy Westlake tires. You Canadians don't experience the same kind of wear and tear on your rigs due to the difference in climate.

I have used baking soda to rid my fresh water tank of the smell and taste after I sanitized. It works very well. I can't imagine what could be causing your problem if you're using city water. Please let us know when you figure it out.

I can't see that as a solution. The valve would eventually release all of the air and there would be no 'air bubble' in the top of the water heater, which is how they are designed to operate. Or, am I missing something in my analysis?

This is very good advice. I have been doing this for the past couple of years. I open a faucet a few minutes after the last shower or kitchen cleanup, and it is amazing how much more evident the increase in pressure is. I also don't leave the water heater on constantly, with it being only 6...

I agree. Once I sorted out all of the 'issues' with my Furrion, I can honestly say that is the best A/C that I have ever had in all of my RVs. It is quiet and very efficient.

The OP has a new trailer that is six months old. It would be worth at least a call to his dealer and/or GD to see what they can do to help him, especially if it sat on his lot for a year out in the weather. I was simply making a point that a blanket statement like that is not very helpful, and...

True. In fact, no A/C has a real "soft start" device. They all have soft start capacitors which supplies the extra inrush current needed to start the compressor. True soft start devices "ramp up" the initial startup current.
