What is Dry mode on my 2023 Imagine Furion AC system

There is a heat strip option for the Furrion A/C. I don't know how well it works since I have no experience with it.

Newbie: How to travel without reservations?

I also agree with that, as truckers by law have to rest after so many active hours, but many truck stops have RV specific spaces.

    Actual TW of 2600RB

Maybe I'm missing something, but where is it stated that he purchased a trailer?

Newbie: How to travel without reservations?

I don't see why you would get flamed. With the crazy cost of campgrounds these days, I also look for the most cost effective way to camp.

    Readers Choice Awards for 2023

I just received my December issue of RV Magazine in the mail today and am happy to post this. Hopefully, it's not against the forum rules.

Is There a Better Alternative to Goodyear Endurance?

These are only two documented failures, and I have seen many more from Westlakes that have never been on the ground. I am not here to argue, you have your opinions and beliefs and I have mine. As I have already stated, I'm glad that your tires are working out for you problem free.

Is There a Better Alternative to Goodyear Endurance?

It definitely does, but that is not an excuse for the poor quality of these tires. I also had Lionshead replace two of mine due to belt separation after only a couple of hundred miles before I got the chance to replace all five of mine.

Is There a Better Alternative to Goodyear Endurance?

I guess these tires, which have never been on the ground, could have been going down the road at excessive speed

Is There a Better Alternative to Goodyear Endurance?

You are entitled to your opinion and guarantee even though the general consensus does not seem to agree. I'm glad your Westlakes are working out for you.

Is There a Better Alternative to Goodyear Endurance?

If you regularly travel in 100+ degrees (with the road temps in excess of 140) like we do in the southern US, you would not have such good luck with your crappy Westlake tires. You Canadians don't experience the same kind of wear and tear on your rigs due to the difference in climate.

    What's your tow vehicle?

Wow! I'm feeling inadequate with my "little" Tundra, but I love the truck, and it does just fine.

If a Life Tragedy Strikes, Are You Ready ?

The love of my life, Karen, passed away suddenly in her sleep in August. Luckily, we were home in Tucson, not on the road. She did have all of her affairs in order. I am still mourning, in shock, and I just feel lost. It made me realize that I need to finalize my wishes to make it easier for...

    Lithium Winter Storage

This may not work for your situation but I always pull my battery whenever I park my trailer for any length of time. It is easy enough for me to do, and I either store it inside of the trailer or take it home (always with about 70% charge). Of course, I am also concerned about theft since my...

    Our Furrion AC

You can count me as vouching that my Furrion is the best A/C that I've ever had. With the new "thermostat", control box and RV Airflow upgrades, I am very impressed with the performance and efficiency. I also sealed the roof vents better after the subpar job that GD did. We spent last summer...

    Bleachy tasting water

I have used baking soda to rid my fresh water tank of the smell and taste after I sanitized. It works very well. I can't imagine what could be causing your problem if you're using city water. Please let us know when you figure it out.

I agree. Post #3 sounds to me like the best permanent solution.

How RV's bust open water lines

I can't see that as a solution. The valve would eventually release all of the air and there would be no 'air bubble' in the top of the water heater, which is how they are designed to operate. Or, am I missing something in my analysis?

How RV's bust open water lines

This is very good advice. I have been doing this for the past couple of years. I open a faucet a few minutes after the last shower or kitchen cleanup, and it is amazing how much more evident the increase in pressure is. I also don't leave the water heater on constantly, with it being only 6...

2023 MLE furrion AC thermister relocation

I agree. Once I sorted out all of the 'issues' with my Furrion, I can honestly say that is the best A/C that I have ever had in all of my RVs. It is quiet and very efficient.

    Furrion AC - Soft Start

Thanks. That's a much better, more detailed explanation that I gave.

    New RV AC stinks

The OP has a new trailer that is six months old. It would be worth at least a call to his dealer and/or GD to see what they can do to help him, especially if it sat on his lot for a year out in the weather. I was simply making a point that a blanket statement like that is not very helpful, and...

    Furrion AC - Soft Start

True. In fact, no A/C has a real "soft start" device. They all have soft start capacitors which supplies the extra inrush current needed to start the compressor. True soft start devices "ramp up" the initial startup current.
