My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Parasitic draw

Yep, there is enough draw to deplete a lead acid battery to nothing in 3 weeks. The only thing in the leveling system that may have a draw when it is not being used is the circuit board in the control. It may have a constant draw, which is why sometimes you need to reset the system to get back...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Parasitic draw

That is because you have mechanical valves stopping the flow of fluid. It has nothing to do with having power to a control or pump.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Americare cover delamination?

I have yet to find any insurance company or extended warranty company that will cover delamination unless it was a result of an accident. Sealant is a maintenance item, and not covered under any warranty.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Roof seal gap

If you have gone 2 years and haven't checked ALL your sealant, you better start looking. Should be up there checking several times a year. And yes, Dicor or Alpha self leveling for the vertical seams and non sag for the vertical.

The leveling doesn't use anything, but they along with the refer are hardwired to the battery. You will also have a few other draws from other things.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Dexter Tow Assist

Yes, I would think that is correct as it is something to do with the solar and pumping too much current back towards the truck. If you don't have a solar disconnect in the coach, try to shut down the solar controller and then tow the Solitude.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Dexter Tow Assist

I would call your GMC dealer, as I think I remember hearing that there is a flash to help with this issue. I specifically remember it being a GM thing. One other thing to check, I have heard that something with the solar needs to be disconnected while towing because it causes issues in GM vehicles.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Added costs on advertised purchase price.?

Automotive dealers are different, with the manufacturers footing some of the costs of the dealerships, and doing financing. Also, most automotive dealers have floor planning through the manufacturer, where they don't pay the unit until it sells. An RV dealer owns all their stock, which is why...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Looking to purchase in the next few months, what is a great upstate NY dealership?

Alpin Haus is very good. I personally know the owner, Andy, very well. Meyer's service stinks, as many large corporate dealers do.... I would tell you come visit us, but 4 1/2 hours is a pretty good trip to make for an RV.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Flashing leds

So it sounds as though you may have a converter issue. The converter would take the 110 shore power and turn it to 12 volt, which is what your lights are. You could probably disconnect your batteries and it would react the same way. Sounds like the load is going directly through the batteries...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Flex-frame issues and warrenties?

I did not watch the video, but I can tell you that GD starts with the frame upside down to put in tanks, string wires, pull plumbing, etc. The floor goes on and then the interior and walls. The laminated walls are all built in house, in a climate controlled plant. Each wall has a pull apart...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub water pump pulsating

Not sure. If you don't have a water fixture turned on, it shouldn't run at all. If you are using water, and the pump starts and stops, then yes. It is normal.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub main fuse

Fuses have nothing to do with 110 power. Yes, there are main fuses, for the 12 volt system and on the converter. If you are having trouble with the battery taking a charge, then maybe the converter fuses are blown.

Where did you see that in anything the OP posted? GD doesn't reimburse any dealer for anything other than warranty repairs, and no where did the OP ask about that.

Sorry, those words did not come from my fingertips... What I was implying is that there are many, many worse factories out there. I never, ever said it was right. Don't read into it any more than that.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub water pump pulsating

A 3.0 gallon pump is not high pressure. It should run until it hits the preset pressure, then shut off.

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Added costs on advertised purchase price.?

Couple things...if they are giving you low retail, you are already ahead of the game. JD Power has retail (which is what you or a dealer can sell it for) and wholesale/trade in. (which is really where the dealer should be at). There are quite a few dealers that do the marked up pricing...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub New Momentum 351MS

The Rhino box does what it is supposed to. Mor-Ryde is an upgrade of course, but most people with adequate tow vehicles don't have any issues with the Rhino. Unless you specified to the dealer, it will come with Group 27 flooded cell batteries. GD does not supply batteries, dealers do. There...

Just curious if you toured any other RV manufacturer plants while you were out there. It may have changed your mind.....I've been through over a dozen, and the GD plants are far and above the rest as far as cleanliness, mindfulness, and actual production. You haven't seen anything until you've...

If you are looking at new units, the 2910 has been discontinued for over a year, along with the 278BH 5th wheel. The 27BH 100 Series replaced the 278, but they dropped the 2910 completely.

I have 103 GD on my lot, and I'm not a large corporate dealer. They are selling OK. 2024's are still common, as some models of GD were built as 2024's up until August. No one is desperate to move GD inventory. Now, ask me about my Keystone and FR inventory, and we will talk deep discounts...
