I am new to the forum and I’m curious what people are using for a 12 V dehumidifier. We have a 2019 grand design reflection 32 foot fifth wheel just trying to keep down on the moisture because we plan on doing a bunch of boondocks and I know the Maine summers are incredibly humid. Any suggestions?

First off welcome to the group! If you plan on booking allot you might want to consider solar, a bank of batteries and an inverter. The few small 12v dehumidifiers I found read like they were pretty inefficient and better off running an ele one off an inverter. Hope someone with experience with once chimes in for you, it's a subject that usually revolves around ele dehumidifiers.

Four problems:

12V dehumidifiers are garbage.

You won’t be using a dehumidifier in the summer while boondocking, because you’ll have windows and vents open.

Humidity in the trailer isn’t really an issue in warm weather since it doesn’t condense on things.

Running a dehumidifier adds a substantial amount of heat to the space.

A dehumidifier is just going to add heat. Open the windows and run some fans. Although if boon docking you will want to be sure you have enough batter power to last through the night. Fans blowing on you would be both cool and likely more effecient than a dehumidifier.
