12V Source in 2024 23LDE Pass-Through

Hi. I'm brand new to this forum (and the Imagine trailer community) but have been RV'ing for 40+ years. One of the things I've always done in my RVs is to find a convenient 12-volt source, tap into it, and use it to power various accessories. I have a brand new 2024 Imagine XLS 23LDE and I'd like to find an always-on 12V source in the pass-through to power, in this instance, the amplifier for my TST TMPS.

Except I'm having a dickens of a time finding a 12V source. There are two angled covers in the front of the pass-through, one on each side, and both have bundles of wires. I found one that has 12 volts, but it was switched. I can't discern what all of the other wires are doing, and probing them didn't identify any 12-volt source. I checked behind the panel on the rear right (starboard) side of the pass-through, and all I found was the back of a 120-volt circuit.

If any of you have found an easily accessible 12-volt source and could tell me how to identify it, I'd be very grateful.

Incidentally, I did find a 12-volt source behind the USB charging port in the living area, tapped into it, ran a pair of wires, attached it to a 12-vold to 5-volt DC-to-DC converter, and use that to power my LevelMate Pro+ device. So one would think I could do the same thing in the pass-through, given the mass of wires there. Nope. No joy.

Thanks in advance,

What about the two lights in the pass through? Not sure how many amps you are looking for.
Mine also has a cover over the compartment that holds the combo gauge for state of charge, amp meter on how my solar panel is charging and volt meter. Should be able to tap into something there.
Left side facing forward at the rear of the pass through.

Well the “tire-lync” dock should be right there
It is 12 volt and would be unswitched
But the battery is right on the a frame so it would be a simple mod to run a line from the battery through to the pass through. Super easy imo

Btw I put my tpms booster right in the battery box on the a frame. Mine has alligator clamps that I hook to the terminals and just leave it there all season. Works great

I was also going to say that the Tyre Link dock has power, unless they removed it for 2024. I removed the dock and used the wiring to power my LevelMate Pro instead. I'm surprised you would need a signal booster for the TPMS though. That's a pretty short distance, but maybe I got lucky with my Guta TPMS.

Thanks. I'm a moron. ;) I didn't even think of that. I'll check it out.

Thanks. As I noted above, I had a brain burp and didn't even think of tapping into the existing TPMS box. That's embarrassing. And I haven't checked whether I need a booster or not. I'll check but probably install it either way if it's not too much of a hassle.

Thanks again,

Adding additional loads to any of the components in todays RVs could be problematic due to wire/fuse sizes, lengths of existing wires, and the loads already on them. Most RVs have an extra unused terminal or two on the 12v fuse block at the electrical panel. I would run a new "dedicated" wire from there to your needed location and install the proper rated 12V fuse for your needs.

In our 2670MK, my hubby ran a new wire from an unused 12v fuse in the panel and installed a 12v block on the rear wall of the pass through. This is providing power to our Levelmate Pro+ and to a 12v water alarm that I have behind all the water connections. Love not having to worry about changing batteries on those devices. And the water alarm has saved us once already the week after we installed it - bad gasket on the hose inlet connection that sprayed water. We had closed the baggage door before turning on the water at the spigot (we don't do that anymore!)

Thanks. Appreciate the response. I think I'm just going to use the existing Lippert TPMS box, so I assume the draw should be no more than what it's already wired for. But good advice to make sure I'm not overloading things. I'll be mindful.

You're welcome. If you're using the existing circuit with the TPMS on it and adding the amplifier to that same circuit you're going to still want to check the total loads... especially if you have no idea what else is on that circuit.
Better to check it all out in the safety of your driveway rather than find out it's a problem while out on the road.

I removed the existing Tire Link TPMS repeater base and used the power leads for my TPMS on our 2024 23LDE. Easy-peasy, no issues.
