I have a 2001 F350 8' bed with a gooseneck hitch (not a B&W turnover) and buying a 2024 F350 6 3/4' bed with factory puck system.
I am looking to buy one 5th wheel hitch and move it between trucks.
So I am looking for input as to what would be a good hitch performance-wise as well as being fairly easy to move.
So far I have looked into:
1. Anderson - easy to move, can attach to both trucks via the gooseball.
2. Blue Ox BRX2100 - this seems the simplest but I have not heard much about it.
3. Curt Crosswing - I have heard folks like these. Would be fairly light.
4. Reese goosebox - this seems the most expensive and you have to change the pin box. Not so easy but doable. Have heard folks like these as well.
I also think I might be able to buy a "regular" 5th wheel hitch and two different mounts and then I just swap the heads. Maybe there is a gooseball mount and a factory puck system that can share the head.
Let me know what you think.
