I have turned all breakers on the power panel off as well as battery disconnect in the storage compartment. The camera still has power. I found two fuses in the front compartment by hydronic system. Removed both, camera still has power.

5th wheel is not connected to truck with power cord. Is there another fuse location on my model. Would like to power camera off.

There must be a wire tied directly to the battery. Or a power source that has power all the time from the battery.

When that power source is found please post as I have same 5th wheel and camera, and want to power off that camera.

Fuse for camera location

I have found the location of the camera fuse on my 375RE yours should be in the same location.
Behind the battery on the wall behind it. There is a cover, it covers all the circuit breakers! You can follow the positive lead from the battery right to this cover. remove the cover (two screws) You will find a red fuse holder, that is for the camera. image.jpg

Ok just finished my switch install. My camera turns on and off now. No more pulling the fuse.image.jpg

No response from GD so appreciate the pictures. 369RL has the identical setup. Pulled the fuse and camera went off. Bought a switch today and will install as you did. Your reply much appreciated.

That is some more great information and I truly appreciate it. I am adding it to my "to do" list which is growing every day. This past week I put a down payment on a 348M and I'll be sure to do the same. Beyond that, I will be pulling it with an F350 that has the SYNC screen in the dash. So here's my question, where did you feed the camera output? Are you able to tie the camera feed into the SYNC screen, or do you use a rearview camera adapted rearview mirror or do you tie it into a standalone GPS?

Thanks in advance to any and all ideas.

The camera kit comes with a stand alone monitor screen that you put in the truck.

Thanks huntr70, the learning never stops. I take delivery next Friday so it looks like I have another mini-project to go after. Fitting another gizmo on the dash or going the LockPick route. Thanks again for the insight on the kit.

Dealer installed the furion backup camera and charged me $125 to do it. This one does not have enough range. Furion tech support was very responsive and sent me the observation camera which is an upgrade at no charge. Just finishing up a 2,000 mile trip and it has worked perfectly. Don't pay to have it installed if your unit is prewired. Literally takes a Phillips screw driver and about 2 minutes to connect. I just place the monitor in a spare cup holder.

Thanks for the breakdown Jkr285.

#1 - Furion camera upgrade
#2 - Contact Furion about upgrading with "observation" camera
#3 - Feel free to climb a ladder to save on the installation
#4 - Report back to this group on lessons learned to return the favor

Just installed the Furion Observation camera on our 2016 367BH Reflection. Installing into the factory installed bracket and wiring was a piece of cake - getting the ladder out of the garage took longer than install. However, I experienced the same thing as others, the camera stays on.

Our reflection was built in January of 2016. After reading a post on this forum that suggested pulling the battery disconnect, the camera DOES turn off with the battery disconnect.

Perhaps the newer built Reflections all have the camera wired in this manner.

Thank you to the person(s) that posted about the Battery disconnect switch.

Hi USN2USA, I also have a F350 sync, with the same back up camera system. The clip for holding the stand alone monitor onto the windshield broke on me so what I do now is take and rubber band the monitor to the rear view mirror. It works great , same sight lines as though looking normally out back without the trailer. Hope this helps you out a bit.
Safe travels to all.

I bought the observation camera and mounted as instructed but I have no power to the camera (trailer is pre-wired for camera power). I brought the camera, into my truck and tested with the available port off the monitor power cord has attached and the camera works (so I know it is not the camera or the camera cord). Paired the devices, mounted the camera at the back of the trailer once again and again, no power.
I had the running lights turned on (which is supposed to control the power to the camera and they were illuminated. Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan, I see in your profile you have a Momentum. On my Momentum there is a wire that connects to a breaker under a plastic cover in the front compartment on the left side back wall (as your looking in.) This is the wire to the camera. There is a fuse in that wire. It may be blown from plugging in the camera while hot. The plug can short out as you plug it in.

EDIT: FWIW there are two wires there with fuses in them. My wire to the camera had the fuse located behind the plastic cover.

I guess I need to update my profile:).. I will do so now. I actually have an Imagine, would you happen to know if the same would go for it.
The only other thing I can think of, in which I would be surprised if it indeed was it. While I had the power hooked up from my truck to the trailer, I did not have the Trailer break pin in (the one that is pulled out if the trailer is separated from the truck for emergency purposes.) I figured I would test that tonight.

Thank you for your reply..
Dan

Dan, unfortunately (it seems) all the trailer lines have different connections for that camera. Hopefully someone with the Imagine will chime in on how it is wired.

The disconnect should have no effect.

Good luck

Hey Janice, thank you for your reply...
I tried again and it worked. Not sure what changed but not going to complain as it is working.
Now though, the camera won't turn off. I was told by the dealership, the on/off function to the camera is via the running lights of the truck. I disconnected the negative cord on the trailer battery to turn it off which is fine while storing. I just don't understand why it would be wired to always be on.

Thanks,
Dan
