2021 22mle, buying this week!

OK,
I’ll try and put this to bed. I did a search and the device I’m referring to in the above thread is known as a Black Tank Anti-Siphon Valve. Google defines it as a “specialized check valve that prevents wastewater from flowing back into the fresh water supply line”.
That stated, it is not an AAV (my mistake) so…..

To the OP, this “valve” did fail on our MLE but it’s not a big deal to replace (inexpensive) or remove and use a vacuum breaker at the point source. I say this because it was a very easy fix to remove the valve and replace it with a brass nipple which was available at a Home Depot (along with the vacuum breaker) close to where we were camping when it gave up the ghost.

Good luck with your MLE. I think you’ll find it was a good decision. Enjoy.
Which shows that even Google can get it wrong now and again. :) A vacuum breaker isn't a check valve, by definition.

We were on the way to the dealership to view and purchase a 22MLE. It has been on our hit list next to the Micro 2205, which is somewhat similar. We showed up at the dealership and had to find our representative just outside the bay. She was doing a final check on a 23LDE for another customer. My wife asked her about the difference in units and it was slightly different. When my wife asked if she could see inside the LDE, I kinda knew that it was over.

We ended up switching our purchase to the LDE, but the MLE was a super favor of ours.

I do not know if anyone has suggested it, but I would highly suggest an independent RV Inspection no matter if new or older. We as buyers tend to get memorized by the purchase and an independent view helps us before dropping so much $$.

Either way, I hope that it brings you years of pleasure!

I almost had one, they even sent a photo of the agreement paper, then they reneged, said someone was on the lot looking at the same time we came to an agreement online. nice floorplan though, would have been perfect. that year i believe was the last before the change to 12v fridge and tankless water heater, which was a big reason i wanted it.

Anything this model typically has issues with in the past? Looking forward to this purchase! Thanks…..
We have a 2024 22 mle
Tow with a tundra and wd hitch
The camper is awesome we love it
I wouldn’t go any heavier with a half ton
From my trip on the scales I’m at my max
Go for it. You won’t regret it
