We recently purchased the 2670 MK and are currently on the road. Yesterday when we stopped, the sliding bedroom door had slid backwards, knocking the light switch and the thermostat off the wall. It broke the connection pieces to the thermostat and one of the wires for the slight switch disconnected and is now somewhere lost behind the wall. It seems like a Grand Design Flaw! The little budgie cord that is supposed to hold the door in place keeps it from moving forward but there is nothing to prevent it from sliding backwards and taking out the thermostat and light switch. Has anyone else experienced this?

We also recently purchased a 2670MK, but haven't had that problem, though I've only towed it a short distance from dealer to local rv resort. Our 2 sliding doors--bedroom and bathroom--each have a screw that is left extended an inch or so, from inside the top rail. The functions as a door stop to prevent door travel in the open direction. Maybe your doorstop screw is missing? Sorry that happened to you! Hope repairs aren't too difficult and are warranted; they should be.

If you look up into where the track is, there should be a screw stopper. If you see a hole and no screw, then the screw fell out or broke.

I've only seen them break when the door isn't latched and constantly bangs into the stopper screw.

Thank you! After reading your response I found the “stop screw” for the bathroom door. I also found the one for the bedroom door on the floor and it appears to have broken off. Still seems like a design flaw since we were on the interstate on not on unpacked rough roads. Hoping GD will cover it under warranty...fingers crossed!

Thanks Tom. It was latched so not sure why it didn’t hold. Looks like we can drill another whole and put a new screw in and hopefully hold it until we can get it to the dealer.
