I am looking for either a complete replacement or a rebuild kit for my fuel pump on my 2021 397. I have looked at the parts locator on the GD site but can not find it. Thanks for any help.

Have you reached out to GD customer service using your VIN? They should be able to tell you what you have. If you still have your build sheet, you might find it there.

I did and am waiting for an answer. Never thought of the build sheet. I'll see if the original owner has it in the papers he gave me.

I never heard back from GD but did find the build sheet. I need a rebuilt kit if it exists or a replacement pump model ECI EC15.

Does anyone know where I can source one other than thru a dealer and maybe if anyone knows where in Canada.

This pump ECI EC15 will cost me over $1,000 by the time I get it to Canada.

I can't be the only one that has issues and am wondering if anyone has replaced it with a different more cost effective pump.

Well, I’ll be following this closely because I gotta admit my pump sounds like a bunch of rocks in a tin can. I can’t believe the noise it makes when it’s pumping gas.

Honestly, if there isn’t a reasonable solution, if mine ever dies, I’ll just install a fuel transfer pump from anything and just mount it in the storage compartment where the hoses go.

Got to admit though I don’t recall seeing many threads on here where the fuel pump has died.

Wow what a rabbit hole looking that part and that company up. Website is gone, address shows California, very little info online. ECI Fuel Systems either got bought and moved to Elkhart or they really really really keep a low profile.

Thankfully it looks like a standard cylindrical fuel pump.

Here is one supplier I found:

https://vectorperformance.com/product/eci5-replacement-pump-micro-connector-2/

Canadian Tire also has a unit that you might be able to retrofit:

https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/gpi-g8p-12v-portable-fuel-transfer-pump-kit-with-8-ft-hose-manual-unleaded-nozzle-0283317p.html

I’ll keep digging. Also found them at RV surplus sites and eBay.

Figured it out, Vector Performance is the supplier now for all Toy Haulers, they must have bought ECI Fuel Systems at some point.

ECI is also another company in Elkhart, Elkhart Composites Inc. (ECI) but it’s not the same.

victor’s website is a mess though keeps getting some firewall errors when looking stuff up.

I had the pump taken apart (as others have done) and greased and it's now working fine. I will make a point to run it once a month for few seconds and hopefully it will not stick anymore.
