New to this forum. I have a 2021 Grand design solitude 380FL-R fifth wheel. I'm trying to locate the Power Transfer switch and the inverter for the residential refrigerator. The unit came with a generator prep package.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same year and model. The power transfer switch for the inverter and the inverter itself are located on the ceiling of the front battery/generator compartment. It take some contortion to get to.

I can answer almost any other questions you might have about the power set up in this unit, so ask away if you have any.

Thanks appreciate it. Getting an Onan Genset installed next week. Just wanted the know where things are in case, I have any issues. Does your unit have a generator?? Trying to figure the best route for the exhaust.

I have the Onan 5500 propane. That will also require another transfer switch. Mine is in the utility area behind the rear wall of the front pass through storage, installed right on top of the converter. This transfer switch automatically switches the main panel to the generator when it is started, but I always disconnect shore power before starting the generator for testing or exercising.

My gen exhaust goes down through the floor under the gen and out the driver’s side about 4 feet behind the front jack. It’s never caused any problems in this location.

Thanks. Appreciate the info. I'm always concerned about the exhaust fumes.
I've considered fashioning an exhaust extension, from flex exhaust tubing, that would go over the end of the stock exhaust pipe and route it up the side of the RV. I would have to be able to take it on and off easily. This could probably be accomplished with a pipe clamp for the stock exhaust pipe end and some kind of hook/hanger to hang in the rain gutter on the top end. It would also reduce the ground level noise somewhat. As we haven't boondocked yet and always have shore power, I haven't yet done it.

You can probably visualize what I'm describing. If not, let me know and I can send a sketch.

Why all of the sudden are my leaf springs breaking. On a southwest tour and have had to replace all four spring packs in the last two weeks. I have traveled 40,000 miles in the last 3 and half years with no issues. Should these be replaced often??? Nothing I can find from grand design stating to replace them after a certain mileage?????? Any recommendations for upgrades????

I have an after market product called a genturie, or something like that. Its on amazon I believe. It does what you are thinking of crafting. In my opinion it works great. Happy Camping!
