Anyone know of any design changes with the 2022 351M? Now seeing a couple dealers advertising stock numbers on the 2022 (no pics yet tho...).

Our 349m should be coming offline end of May and its a 21. I don't think 22's are out especially on dealer lots. You sure 22's are out????

Sounds like June 1 is the cut-over date for the 2022. Just saw a couple dealers advertise the 2022 351M (like General RV) and had a stock number listed... but I realize that doesn't mean they have an idea when they will receive it. More curious about anyone who is in the know on potential design changes that could happen with the 2022 - our build will likely be just on the other side of that June 1 date.

we are in the process of ordering a new 2022 now, basically the same as the 2021 however they made H rated Cooper tires mandatory, Decor is the same two choices, exterior and interior colors are the same, we are getting the 351M-R with residential Fridge, we are able to get 3rd AC and Generator, dealer stock can't get Genny or 3rd due to parts shortage. The start pushing the new units as 2022 as of 6-1-2021 from what we were told.

We got the 351M-R with slide toppers, generator, King Bed, Solar, Happy Jack setup with rear deck and 3 season doors. We did not get Stereo Upgrade, No Full Body Paint 4-5 weeks delay for FBP, we didn't get the outside entertainment system either, had it on our Montana for last 3 years, never used it. We did upgrade the axles to 8K with Hydraulic Disc Brakes, those are worth the $ to us.

2021-2022 they added two little windows by each nightstand which we like bc you can peek outside and see what is going on, but these changes are for the 351M/R nd 351M/R as they are both the same unit however 381 is 4 feet longer in the garage and those are the ones we were looking at but we dont want one over 40 Feet so went 351.

Ordering today and according to Grand Design Rep it should come off the line in July 3-4th week and be at our dealer by 2nd week of August, so hopefully we will get it by end of August, Beginning of September at the latest, we are also switching the hitch out from the basic cheap inbox to the nice Moryde they put on the 397/399 with the Blue Plate.

There are no changes between current 2021 models and the 2022 models except for the 10th digit in the VIN.

H rated tires have been standard for awhile, along with the small windows in the bedroom.

Full Body Paint is still an extra 12-14 week process.

We ordered 349m-r which is very similar to 351m. Ordered 2/2 and hoping to come offline 5/25 so your delivery timeline is great considering. Agree on 8k axles and very much worth the upgrade.

What is the Moryde part number for the pin box? Also interested in getting this swapped out but will probably do ourselves. Dealer wanted near double for the Reese Goosebox plus installation costs and would not install if we purchased ourselves (cheaper) so ended up staying with standard pin box and purchased B&W Companion hitch so we can at least get it home. Swap out pin box with better fifth box ourselves. I read good things about the Moryde also.

Best of luck with your 351m.

When I get the Moryde pin box part number and cost I will get it to you, but talked to GD and they said it would be covered under warranty since they use that same pin on higher end models, do not like the cheap pin boxes had one on my Crusader in 2013, very jerky when traveling rough rides and do not like the ones Lippert makes Trailer Road Armor, so going with this one, I know a lot of folks who have it and say it is great.

Nice. Did pretty much the same order yesterday. Interesting on the dates you have though. Hope to have ours by this summer some time as well.

Our order could have gone either way on the model year (21 vs 22), but they were backed up enough that it finished after the June model year change which is how it became a 2022 (and then FBP took another 1.5mo). Ours is the non-"S" version as the "Second Generation" units started mid-model year. I'm not sure how backed up production is... but from a supply chain perspective it isn't going to get much better this year. Very happy with our 351M-R and will be pulling it from its winter sleep likely this weekend. Anyway - hopefully you will have a shorter wait and congrats!

Looks like the 351M was replaced with the 351MS. I'm really liking the new 351MS layout. Wardrobe move to the front, bed to the slide. Washer/Dryer hookups moved from garage to the wardrobe.

Yup, that is the mid-model year (major) change. Our 2022 was delivered before the changes. It appears they used the new LCI frame to accommodate the changes. I like the E-W bed, bedroom layout and benefit of slightly more basement storage… but don’t like the dual-entry bathroom or the Rhino pinbox (although from what I’ve read, the Rhino is built better structurally into the frame).

I agree on the dual-entry bath... two doors a foot apart? I also just noticed that they swapped the range and refrigerator locations. I wonder if the swap gives any access to the refer with the slide in?

I'm really bummed one of these won't fit into our 39.5' RV garage! But the wife has been makin comments about moving, so that might not be an issue soon.
