2022 Imagine 22MLE owner, please contact me for a roof question.

UPDATE:
After taking the camper to the dealership back around July 2024 for a new a/c unit, and having them document and photograph the screw pops, GD replied back to the dealership stating that they didn't see any issues at the moment. I stewed on that for a while and decided to call GD myself. I sent the customer service rep photos of the problem, and in an email from him he said that I needed to get it to a dealership. So, I took it back to them, and since the customer (me) had contacted GD, GD seemed to be much more interested in fixing the problem. And I deeply appreciate what the service manager, Trent, at Blue Compass RV in Concord, NC did for us. GD decided to put a new roof on our camper, which has been done. What had happened was that during the manufacturing process, the workmanship was less than adequate, and the screws holding the decking to the truss had popped out. And some of the other screws barely caught any of the trusses. In addition, the screws used were a very fine thread screw much like a sheetrock screw. The fine threads simply cannot fasten well to the decking and truss. Typical sheetrock screws have a much more coarse thread.
So, GD and Blue Compass RV in Concord, NC have made us some very happy campers. Time will tell if there are any areas of the new roof that will need a little attention to the sealant, etc, but I have been up on my roof and it looks wonderful. I have gotten to know both the Sales Manager and Trent the, Service Manager, and they are both wonderful. If you are in the area and need a little work done, I would highly recommend them for your needs.

Could you ask them if when they removed the roof membrane if it was or was not glued down, as well as if it was, how good.
It was mentioned that a tech said they dont glue them down in earlier posting.

Thanks.

I know the new one was glued down entirely. He told me that they had to "peel the entire roof off". I had no issues with my old membrane having large bubbles in it. There was, and is on the new one, places where the TPO is bubbled along most of the Dicor sealant, which is to be expected. They also put new underlayment (wood) on top of the original decking.
The TPO has to be glued down, but it's a process where timing is critical, and there has to be sufficient time for the adhesive to cure. It actually continues to cure for quite some time after the install. That's why so many with bubbles have seen them go away or get much smaller especially after sitting out in the sun. Hope this helps.

I just traveled 353 miles today headed to New Mexico for maybe a month. I looked at the roof hear, my stop for the night. No bubbles or lifting. So it must be when its sitting and hot, passing gas, or trying to.
