I seem to be having a "known" issue with the ABS brakes on my trailer not playing so nicely with my 2024 GMC Sierra. I took it in to my RV dealer as I would notice that occasionally my trailer brakes do not seem to disengage when I release the truck brake pedal and start to accelerate. They seem to grab. They told me this is a known issue and that the GM dealer would need to reprogram the truck and it would be hard to find a dealer who knew what to do. I called my GM dealer and they said they have not done this or heard about it. I called a few others same response. I emailed Grand Design to have them verify the issue. They sent me this.

Let them know your tow vehicle does not read the disc brakes properly. 2024 GMC Chevy is aware of this concern, and add something to their side of things.

Has anyone experienced this and had a dealer resolve it I am hoping to get a service bulletin number or something more to tell the GM dealer.
I am going on a 4500K mile trip next month so hope to get this resolved

Check into Pulse Width Modulation (PMW wiring) GM uses this and may be the issue? Lots of discussion here with problems connecting to rear cameras because this doesn’t send solid 12 volt signals to what may need it? Think there is an adapter to fix the camera issue? Not sure if this could be causing your problem with the ABS brakes?
