We recently purchased a 2025 Lineage after seeing it at both the Cleveland and Columbus Ohio Recreational Vehicle show. There we met two different sales representatives from Grand Design, both of who talked very highly of the roof design and how it was so much better than than the traditional roof with seams and caulking and how this was much better at preventing any type of roof leak. We took our Lineage on its maiden voyage two weeks ago and much to our dismay and disappointment we had several roof leaks. Upon returning to Ohio and taking the Lineage to the dealership for repairs now we are told that the Lineage must be returned to the factory for repairs. The repair is scheduled out an entire month from now and it was estimated to be in the shop for two weeks, but they could not confirm that for sure. I would think that since Grand Design is trying to move into the motorized motorhome section, prioritizing repair of these issues would be their number one priority but apparently that is not the case.

I would never buy a new line. I would wait a couple of years

Where is it going to be kept while you wait?

If it is leaking from rainwater it will continue. Weird that there was zero evidence of leaks. It must have been rained on before you bought it

I would ask for a buyback

You might consider posting this on the Facebook Lineage Owners Group since there is much more activity there by existing owners and by GD personnel. The existing owners posting on the FB group all seem to be generally quite happy with their rigs so far but nobody has reported any roof leakage that I've seen. For issues they have had, GD personnel have been very helpful from what's been shared.

We also have the same Lineage. We knew there was going to be some problems getting a new product line, and were not disappointed. The closest GD dealers to us, 3 and 6 hrs away could not repair the door that was not closing properly or getting stuck shut. There also were some other 'niggling' problems to address. I actually reached out on the FB Grand Design Lineage Owners page about our problem and was contacted directly by the company and invited to come to the factory to get all of it repaired. It was 530 miles, each way. And worth every mile. I wish I had been able to go with my husband to take it. He said they treated him like he was the CEO of Lippert and couldn't have been nicer or more conscientious. They gave him a VIP tour of the plant and my husband could see how much pride the employees took in their jobs and product. They bent over backwards not only fixing every (even little) concern we had, but upgraded equipment on our rig that had been added since ours came out of production, including the firefly software.

An attempt was made by the closer dealer to repair our door which was obviously not successful. They damaged the door so that when the factory repair folks finally got the door adjusted and realigned, the paint job on the outside no longer matched. Rich was supposed to pick the rig up at 9:00 am (it had been in since 7:00am the prior day). They called, apologized profusely, and asked if he minded waiting 3 more hours so they could put in a new door (freshly painted) so the look would be seamless. That was a big yes. We came away very impressed.

I think we have gotten everything fixed now. (there will always be something else no matter what rig you have). We love our Lineage. It is our 3rd RV and hopefully last!

We've had our Lineage since last summer and used it twice before winterizing. Fortunately no leaks to report. We are in SE Michigan and took ours back to the factory for a black tank leak and other "niggling" items. Our drive was 1/2 yours, but also well worth it. We had met the factory personnel and found them all to be quite attentive to our problems and repaired more than we asked. I anticipate bringing it out of storage and de-winterizing it in early May near Monroe, MI. Let me know if you want to meet up and compare notes.
