A member considering a 2026 Grand Design Solitude 390RK asked owners what they thought of the model, but no firsthand ownership reports were provided. One member liked its sunken living area while raising an explicitly secondhand concern about rear kitchens bouncing during travel.

Another member suggested comparing the Solitude 417KB, noting its dinette versus the 390RK’s lack of a dining table, its living-room seating, and what they considered a nicer bathroom. They also suggested it...

We have a 2022 390rk. We love it. I do all my own maintenance because I dont trust most service centers and they are too expensive. You will read about issues with frame flex, popped rivets on the schwintech slides. I have not experienced any frame flex. We are not full timers but we have about 60K miles on the rig. I have had to replace the rivets from aluminum to steel, problem solved. I do have screws to blackout but thats normal. These rigs take alot of beating down our wonderful highways.
We love everything about our rig. We ordered it with full body paint 8k axles with disk brakes, recommended. When we first purchased ours, we went to Florida. At the campground, there were 2 other rigs just like ours. We shared experiences. I couple had out fitted theirs with solar panels, the whole roof. We are glampers, no boondocking for us anymore. But the rig, maintain it, dont overload it. Weight at the beginning of your first trip and every so often after. Use this forum for any questions. Must folks are respectful. Good luck. Thanks for your service. Sorry it was the Army. Marine Corps myself.😄 Dan
Lol, do it help that my dad was in the Marine Corps, he pass away from the water in Camp LeJeune back in 1954 when I was born. I have a claim in for him and myself, lol, and thank you for your comment. Now I'm starting to rethink this whole thing, maybe I might hold off, if I can find a good deal I will jump on it.

If you haven’t called coachlight rv in Carthage, MO to comp prices you may be paying too much. Ask for Norm.
They were almost 20k cheaper than anywhere else when we bought ours.

It does help. But not really. Brothers in arms. Dan

I would to go there, if I ever need warranty work done on it I would have to take it there to them to do it, dealership here don't like to work on rv's unless it was bought at there dealership.

You are braver than most to allow a dealership to do any work on your rv. All of my repairs have been done at GD save for the few things I had done by an independent shop that did our flex armor roof.

Well yeah, I know what you mean, I try not to let them work on it if I can get around it, but I'm talking about any warranty work that have to be done, I am handy but some things I will let them do it.

It's like the JayCommand that they have in these rv's, I was having big problems with it, which I hate the JayCommand system with a passion, so I call the dealer and to make a long story short they was talking about I might have to replace the tablet which in the end I would be paying $800 dollars.

Well, I did not want to pay that much money so I just fix the problem myself, it took me a couple of days and with the good Lord help I took care of it and now it's working just like new, I still hate the system.

I would love to just take it in to the factory, but with my wife and I schedule it make it hard to do that, but it's all good.
