Hi, I have had my LVP1 for about a month. Been out on it twice. Added a second battery out of the gate. I had a few positive things done different from all the videos I have seen and the one I toured. They added a place to put the sewer hose, changed the table stand to black and moved the bed lift controls to the bed rather then the control panel at the front of the cab. However with that last chance the bed no longer has pre-programmed stops. It will go all the way down and hit the the cabinets to the metal and wood of the removable back if you let it go all the way. So that part is not good. I have had to mark on the bands where to stop to prevent damage. They put a hand made stick that says remove all cushions from below before lowering it, so it seems they knew it no longer had pre-programmed stops. And the ground clearance is extremely low. Like maybe 4 inches. I have already hit several times. This will be very hard to do any real boondocking like I hoped. Also the heat pads on the tanks are easy to peel off. Be on the look out for that. The maintenance areas really should have hinges so you can get to them rather than screwed in. Like access to the water heater to winterize. I don’t even know where the water pump is yet, but I am sure it is not easily accessible. Otherwise it is well built and I am pleased. But I got the second battery to boondock and it is disappointing how extremely low to the ground the tanks and steps and black tank drain are to the ground. I am afraid I am going to knock them off if I hit a big pot hole.
Wish there was a Facebook group for this model. I use to have a sailboat and the model Facebook group was an amazing way to share ideas, pictures and modifications.
