22MLE Electrical Upgrade

The big reason to run 2 100 amp hour batterys is the surge capacity of the battery.....so before you make your purchase, understand your power needs. Do you ever intend to make coffee? run the microwave, or air conditioner? you will need a battery that can supply a 400 amp surge current. Some 200 amp hour batterys can do it, but you need to look very specifically for them

Well, not exactly a 22MLE, but a 2023 XLS 23LDE , I also wanted the ability to dry camp from time to time at some Harvest Hosts or rest areas when traveling far. So my setup is a bit more involved, I did placed all my equipment under the bed and removed the stock battery outside, I now have 2 Red Odo 410ah Lifepo4 Lithium batteries, (820ah total), a Renogy 3000w inverter, 60a Renogy charge controller (in the pass thru compartment),(3) 165w Furrion pannels and (3)175w Renogy pannels, for a total of about 1000w of solar on the roof, 500amp Renogy battery monitor, 30amp transfer switch and an auxiliary 14.6 20a Lifepo4 charger connected thru an off/on switch, still kept the 25a Furrion charge controller for ground deploy.
I can run the roof air (with soft start of course) long enough to make it thru the night, but there is also a 4000w inverter dual fuel generator for those longer stays.
Been out only once since finished and it has been a success.
Hope this helps .
