22RBE Countertop replacement.

Hi All!
We have a 2021 Imagine XLS 22 RBE. The countertop in the kitchen area is de-laminating in all the areas I've seen on here so far. And now its starting to shrink around the stove. Does anyone know what the material is? Or has anyone attempted to replace the top with a different material. This and the stove itself are the only disappointments we have with the trailer.

It is just paper on mdf

You could replace it with whatever you want

Compressed membrane....aka: paper on MDF as mentioned previously. During my last service, the tech decided to use our counter top as a cutting board ruining the counter. They are replacing it this week after the part was on back order. The original counter top was good with no delamination issues. I hope the replacement does not cause issues....I have been seeing quite a few posts on FB about your issue.

Ours is 2023 model with kitchen "island". . . its a farm-style stainless steel sink, some counter space and 3 verticle drawers. The counter top is merely MDF or particle board covered with stiff "tolex-like" material glued down cracking 3/4" in length in confined area; it acts & looks like tire dry rot. Don't think it results from moisture. Really disappointed as rig is only 7 months old! Sigh. Gotta replace it sometime.

Since you are still under warranty I would take it back to your dealer for service. If you prefer to replace it with something better I plan to use Corian to upgrade the bathroom sink in our 22MLE.
