Hello, I have an imagine xls 23bhe. I am having trouble with the adjustable table stand. It slowly creeps down, no matter how much I tighten the 2 plastic clamps. I have tightened the metal nuts on the clamps as much as I can, I am afraid if I tighten then more the plastic parts of the clamps with break, it is already really hard to close them. I was thinking of drilling some small holes with some long bolts through them to lock the table at the right hieght. Is this a bad idea? Has anyone else had this issue? Any other ideas? We don't convert the dinette to a bed, so a semi-perminet solution is okay. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Mine did the same and I was just about to add and angle iron to the side to help stabilize it. I decided to really tighten it before installing the angle iron and it did the trick.

Same issue. Pull it all apart in a rush and put it back together still have a problem. Also the nut is about as tight as I can get and I usually Armstrong things too much and they break. I have some ideas but nothing conclusive yet.

I kept tightening it with no luck. Eventually the plastic started cracking. I finally gave up and secured each section with self-taping screws. We don't need to convert it into a bed so its not a big deal to permanently lock it up. I suppose if you needed to use it as a bed you could drill holes through each section and use bolts to secure it when its extended for the table. I love the the idea of the telescoping table, I just wish they had designed the lock better.

i suggested the screws to the wife a while ago and "NO" I would add a 2x2 strip in.. but i know she'd say no. Maybe adding two foldup legs for support would work, keep it from wobbling too much. I did buy some rubber wedges to go between the table and wall. that helps, BUT it's not ethically pleasing.. I could care less as it's functionable.. I am WONDERING if the plastic piece in-between the tubes has worn a bit.. it's only 2 years old.. but trailer gets a lot of use. we don't use it for a bed sothe table doesn't get :used", other then it coming down(just the bottom one) during travel.

Our 2023 22MLE has a telescoping table in the dinette and I've had the same issue with not being able to get the clamps tight enough to eliminate wobble, twist, and settling. The table top was also mounted on the pedestal so it was tight to the wall and all the movement has been marking the finish on the wall covering. I first remounted the table top on the pedestal so it was 3/4 " out from the wall. Then I used a couple of 3" flexible rubber plumbing couplers to go around the pedestal shaft just above each clamp. Just a lengthwise cut on the bottom one and it fits perfectly but needed to take a small lengthwise section out of the coupler to fit the top one. I wrapped each with four hose clamps and cranked them down pretty tight. It has eliminated all the settling, quite a bit of the wobble, and some of the twist. All of it can be removed and will leave no damage to the shafts. It looks a little industrial so its not too pretty but I find I don't swear at the table near as much now. Pics of one of the couplers and the finished product attached.

I have the same problem with my 22 MLE. Very wobbly and unstable. As mentioned in previous post, cannot tighten. So, your modification would have to be removed for lowering to make bed?

It would have to be removed in order to lower the table to make into a bed. We have yet to need the extra bed so not a problem so far. While it can be removed it does involve crawling under the table with a screwdriver or 5/16 socket so admittedly not very convenient.
