Hey folks, curious if anyone here with a 2600rb has upgraded the tv and added a soundbar. Curious what size you went with and where you put the sound bar

Note: ours is a 2024 so no ceiling speakers or furion head unit.

I sympathize with you as GD has a pretty cheap tv. LG and Samsung make TV's in the size you are looking for. As far as a sound bar I would go for either company or other quality bluetooth sound systems.

I think it is a shame that they have removed the indoor speakers and radio. When dry camping...sure if you have internet you can use the TV but having a radio if close to a city is useful in order to receive emergency alerts or local music.

The only good thing I noticed in that I would have upgraded to the 2024 would have been the 50 amp entry and possibly the 12V fridge. They should have upgraded the cheap little fans.

Curious what size you’re thinking, as 40 won’t fit in that opening I don’t believe. It would have to sit outside the opening

I have ceiling speakers, but they are not connected to the TV. I installed a soundbar instead. The TV came with a HDMI cable going in the space behind the Jenson receiver. But this receiver does not have a HDMI connection in the back. From what I read a soundbar was the best option for decent sound.

No sound bar, but the previous owner put in a 43in Sony flatscreen. It’s hooked to the Jensen stereo and plays through the inside speakers if we want.

Have you used the search function (top right) to see what's out there? Many of us have upgraded the entertainment systems, but there are so many RV models just within Grand Design that you have to get creative on placement and wiring. I'd go into detail on what I did, but it wouldn't do you much good since it's a completely different RV.

While our coach is a different model than yours, we simply measured the TV diagonally, and replaced it with a Samsung TV of the same size (no space to increase the size of the TV). Later, we added a BlueTooth Samsung Sound bar. With the BlueTooth Soundbar both the Sub-Woofer and Soundbar are connected via BlueTooth so I did not need to run any wires from the TV itself, I just needed to provide 120v power to each device.

Fortunately, the Sound bar fit perfectly on the ledge below the fireplace and there is an outlet right next to the couch that i can plug both the Soundbar and Sub-Woofer into.

Sure did, problem is 99% of the threads are about the older 2600rb with ceiling speakers.

I know that this is a year old, we just picked up our '24 2600RB today and I have been thinking about this topic, since I used the "search" feature this thread popped up.
Does anyone have any updates to how they manage sound/stereo/speakers? I am thinking of a sound bar under the TV with optical "in" and also bluetooth. That way I can watch a movie with the soundbar, then in the mornings have music play when we are making/eating breakfast over bluetooth. Outside, I have a couple of bluetooth stereo Skull Candy speakers we can listen to when out by the fire...
What solutions have your found?

Our TV has Bluetooth built in and we connect to the soundbar via Bluetooth. Our soundbar also connects to the woofer via Bluetooth, so we only need an outlet for the soundbar and the woofer, no cabling is necessary for the sound itself.
Note: we have a fireplace under our TV and there is a shelf at the floor that perfectly fits our soundbar, I just added a couple of strips of Velcro to the bottom of the soundbar and the shelf and the soundbar rides right there, no packing up required for travel.
