Hello. Presently own a 2019 295RL 5er since new. Very happy with the unit. Have had no major concerns. Generally keep a unit for 4-5 years and then trade. Have yet to see a unit we like better than our present 5th wheel hence we've stayed with what we have. Discussion last night with wife and she suggested trading model for model and purchasing a 2025. Have looked at all GD models at the various shows and not certain of the new Furion refrigeration units all manufacturers seem to be going with.
Can anyone please give me the pros and cons of these new Furion refrigerators. We always book an electrical site and never boon dock. Hooked up to power will the convertor keep the fridge running?
Could be a deal breaker for us.
Thank you.

I don't know about that part, but if they're strictly 12V, that's even more reason you wouldn't need an inverter. Or are you thinking of a "converter"? A converter produces 12V DC power from 120V AC electricity. An inverter produces 120V AC power from 12V DC electricity.

Our 2022 337RLS has the 16cft Furrion 12volt refrigerator. Most new Grand Design rigs have at least one solar panel and a place for a battery. This, as well as charging from a pedestal should be plenty of power. We have had the propane/power refrigerator in the rig before this one. We're totally sold on the Furrion 12volt after over 3 years full-time! Nice having 16cft, as well!
