2970RL bedroom issue

If you have a 2970RL and use the step next to the bed on the drivers side I would stop or reframe it. We used it as a step a couple of times to make the bed then it came apart like a three dollar watch. It is only held in place by a few staples coming through the paneling. NO VERTICAL SUPPORTS! I reframed it with 2x2 adding vertical support. Basically framed a box. The front of the box needs to be about 3” shorter than the back(towards the back of the trailer) to clear the fresh water inlet hose. We can now use it with no fear of it not supporting us.

In our 2022 2500RL, my wife did the same thing being all of 5'3"-ish... LOL

I showed her why using anything as a step that is not designed to be a step in an RV is not a good thing. Yesterday I saw my grandson pulling himself up to the cabinets above the seating area, by the cabinet to get something... these things are just not made like a house
