297RSTS kitchen slide toppers

I’ve heard yes and no. For now I just extend the awning if I am expecting falling debris, which isn’t very often in AZ.

Yes, you can, at least that's what is happening to ours right now. will pick it up on Saturday and let you know more as we see how it goes.

Use a little caution with this. When you extend the awning for shade over top of this slide it will rub on the slide topper awning.

I would be interested in seeing the pics of the final product and knowing how much clearance if any you have with the awning. I am putting a slide topper on the living room slide but didn't think there would be enough clearance to the awning on the kitchen slide. Be interested in what brand you have put on as well.

When we made this purchase the dealership gave us a great deal, which included the slide toppers. I was, and still am not sure how this will go. I did think maybe we could swap the slide topper under the awning for something else, but we decided to go ahead with the installation. When we do take delivery, I will be sure to get a couple of picks and the maker of the topper to post.

Thanks Scott. That would be great.

Hi Scott,

How did the slide out awning over the kitchen slide out work out? Any pics?

Thanks,
Rob

Ours is on there, but it blocks the OEM awning lighting over the kitchen section.

Could you post a picture and let me know what brand the slide topper is. The OEM awning lighting over the kitchen does little for lighting anyway so not too concerned about that. Doe the awing hit it or rub on the slide topper when extending or does it clear?

Been thinking about it but don't want to but an slide topper only to find out that it won't work. I installed my slide topper over the dining slide and it works beautifully so I know I can do the job just want to make sure that it is all going to fit.

Not sure if this is still needed but we have slide toppers on both slides so here is a picture of the kitchen slide out with topper. The 21 foot awning works great! D9A7933E-2DA0-47B4-918F-58E3C40A0BDC.jpeg

Yes, thank you, have been waiting for pictures, but, we are interested in how the extended big awning sits on the topper awning. Maybe shooting from where the awning supports attach to the trailer, front and rear. I have a topper on the living room but am holding off on the kitchen.
