Needed some tape to fix my son's RV roof. No problem, have some in my RV in a plastic tool box. I keep this in the lower cabinet next to the fold out couch, which is at the back of the RV. When I opened the cabinet I noticed that the shelf was broken and everything was on the floor. The total weight might have been 3 lbs max.

I unloaded everything and noticed that the cabinet side next to the couch was bowed out. I needed to move the couch out to fix this and when lifting up the cushion to get out the bedding I saw that only one of the angle straps were still attached. The other one had the screws laying on the floor where they had worked out.

Disconnected the strap and moved the couch. This exposes a small piece of angle that connect the back wall to the floor. There were 10 screws on the top of the angle that attached to the wall. 9 of these had worked themselves out. The screws that were in the floor were all still in place and tight. I replaced all the screws on top with a bigger screws and gorilla wood glue.

While the couch was out I screwed both sides of the cabinets to the 3/4" strips that they used for support on bottom. I could do this from the outside of the cabinets since the couch will cover these.

I made a new shelf for the one that was broke with 1/2" ply that I had and used 1/2" ply placed upright from front to back for bottom support. There are several videos on you tube for this and it is very easy. The original shelf is maybe 1/4" paneling. I will change out the other side when I have time. It only has blankets in it, but it did push out the side.

I know this is long winded, just something you can check when you have time. I have changed out screws on my table, theater seats and now the rear area.

These RV's get a lot of bouncing, shaking, ect while traveling. I have been replacing the screws with a bigger size with glue and they seem to be holding.

Yeah - this has been a commonly reported problem on the forum. It seems that the metal angle piece is not structural and the screws into the wall only have a very thin piece of Luan to bite into. Sounds like you came up with a good solution.
