31MB Slide Question

We have a 2021 model.. great rig and we’ve been 5,000+ miles with her already. Recently I’ve noticed the slide containing the couch and pantry acting odd when extending/retracting. There is a point about 1/4 heading out (3/4 heading in) when the slide slows to almost a stop. This happens going both ways. This is a schwintek slide.

Troubleshooting I’ve done so far:
-happens on battery alone and connected to shore
-all slide motors are working (at least by sound)
-slide seems to be properly aligned
-no debris in the tracks
-no strange noises
-we are always level when operating the slides

Has anyone else had an issue similar to this?

Thanks!

I haven't experienced what your describing but have you tried lubricating the motors? There's a specific way to do it. If you Google it, there's a few videos on this. It might help, or iliminate another possibility.

Also, try cleaning and lubricating the slide seals. They can exert significant drag on the sides of the slide.

Our 2021 31 MB has similar issues with slides. All of them at some point have required overriding. So much so that it feels like a win when we setup or tear down and *dont* have to override one. Especially the kitchen.

I’ve lubed the side lining. Going to look in the manual about the motors but honestly it simply seems like a misalignment issue that doesn’t seem to ever get sync’d again, even though I’ve tried countless times. Probably not doing something right there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, commiserating a bit here but also following this thread. If I ever get ours figured out (vs my current thought of building an iPhone app or physical button to override without digging into the bay), I’ll let ya know. :)
