337RLS Kitchen Sink Water Pressure

I have a 2022 337RLS and the water pressure at the kitchen sink is very low, hot or cold. The pressure everywhere else is great. The bathroom sink, shower, toilet, and outside faucet all have over twice the pressure as the kitchen sink. This happens with city water as well as the pump. I have looked for kinked lines or restrictors and have had no luck.

Does anyone else have this problem? It acts like there is a restrictor or one way valve in the hot and cold line that goes to the kitchen sink. Another strange thing it does is it doesn't drain water when you use the low point drains and open the faucet. When you do this to the bathroom sink and the shower you can hear the faucet suck air and it drains the water. On the kitchen sink it does not suck air and the water in the lines remains. You have to hook up a compressor and blow the lines out to get the water out of the hot and cold kitchen lines. Also, when blowing out the lines the bathroom and outside faucet have much more air pressure than the kitchen sink.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dale

I replaced the head part of the pull out part. Could not get our aerator off the original. Just a thought. If you take off the head be careful of the rubber washer on end of hose. Bet your pressure will be great with head off.

I think I have tried in the past to take it apart and take out the restrictor disc but couldn't get it apart. My wife came up with the idea to go to Lowe's and get a better faucet and just replace this one. That might be the best option if I can't get it apart this morning.

Where did you get a replacement head that fit? Is it an actual head for this faucet or is it a generic head that you made work?

Thanks for the reply,
Dale

It sounds like debris. When I was dewinterizing this year, our second, the bathroom faucet would barely trickle. When I removed the screen I found a piece of plastic that got into the plumbing during construction. Why it took two years to happen I can't say but suspect it came from the fresh water tank since I use the pump for winterizing and sanitizing the system.

Ours has been slow since the trailer was new. In the Imagine we had the bathroom doing the same thing and I found the water lines all twisted and kinked in the bedroom closet. Once I straightened those out we had great pressure. I looked for twisted lines on this one, but no luck. Today I will look for debris or remove the restrictor disc, if it has one. If that fails it might be a new faucet or at least a new head.

Got this and been fine. Cheap fix.

Thanks, that is what I am looking for. I got the old head apart and there is no debris in it but you can hardly blow through it, very restrictive. It also has a one way valve in it, it will not allow air back through the reverse direction. That explains why the low post drains will not drain the water out of the kitchen line. I am going to hook up the water without the head just to insure that there is no other problems. If the hose has high pressure without the spray head then I think I will order the one you recommended.

I take it that you now have good pressure at the kitchen sink?

Thanks,
Dale

The pressure at the sink is great without the sprayer attached so I ordered the replacement from Amazon. Should be here tomorrow so we will find out if it fixes the issue.

I also found out that the hose would kink after pulling it out about half way. I put a hose clamp on the hose under the sink where it was kinking and now it doesn't kink. Maybe we will have good pressure at the kitchen sink so we can actually do dishes. :)

I had the same problem at our kitchen sink. After much frustration, I found that the weight that was on the hose to pull the faucet back into position was kinking the hose. Was able to reposition the weight and solved the low pressure problem.

Mine was also doing that, but only after pulling it half way out. I moved the weight and put a wide clamp on the area that was kinking. When it kinked the water flow would go to zero but it still had low flow when it wasn't kinked. I am hoping the new spray head will help solve the problem. When I took the original head off and took it apart to make sure there was no debris in it I tried to blow through the valve and could hardly get any air to go through it. So the design of the original head is very restrictive. If I was to guess it was design that way on purpose to force the user to save water.

I got the spray head from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLLJ5QYQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 , and installed it but mine had an internal leak and I had to return it for a refund. I did figure out how to remove the restrictor in the original spray head and now it works great, go figure. I think I will use it this way and buy a new faucet from Lowe's if it acts up again.

Thanks for all the help,
Dale

Dale,
What was your trick in removing the restrictor in the original spray head?

The restrictor is in the end where it screws onto the hose. I got a really small pair of needle nose pliers and grabbed the raised center and gentle pulled it out. It took multiple attempts before I was finally able to get it out, but it will come out. Before trying to take it out I took a small screwdriver and made sure the restrictor was free and able to move.

I decided not to send the spray head back and tried replacing their thin o ring with a thicker o ring and it worked, the leak stopped. So now we have a new upgraded spray head and the original as a backup.

After dealing with this for a few years I decided to put the head in a small cup and fill the head with vinegar.

After 30 min I was able to blow air through the head

Mine has done this since new. I was able to take it apart and there was nothing inside of it. What I found out it was the restrictor that was causing the problems. Once I removed it the flow was much better.
