It's finally at the dealers. Since we are expecting rain this week ,we choose to pick it up next week.

After this last very trying year, working out many bugs on our present trailer while it was in warranty- we are apprehensive about the PDI and first trip, but trying to think positive. Wish us good luck.

Just noticed we are going to look like twins. Almost exact truck and trailers bought almost same time. So funny. Our truck is also white, should look good pulling that rig AND last year when we bought our 327 LaCrosse, we almost got the 3110 you have. We should have lots of comparisons We also have daughter in Orlando area, so who knows, may see y'all in our travels.

That's pretty funny...Be glad you didn't buy the 3110...

We live just south of Key Largo...If you are ever this way give us a shout...We had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Jan at the Tampa RV show last weekend...Always good to meet folks from the forum.

Went up Sunday for Monday PDI tour- was promised some things from the plant and all was as promised. We camped there on site for the night and made sure all questions were answered to our understanding before we left for home. We learned a hard lesson a year ago with our other trailer, so we were very prepared. Lots of new to us perks on this trailer and a little overwhelming. Gosh it's PURTY. First time towinng a fifth wheel also. It's a new journeyl............... hope to share and learn from all of youl

Congrats and welcome to the Grand Design family!! Sounds like you are already having a great time!
You have joined a forum with a lot of "Happy Campers"!!

Congrats. I know you will be pleased with it as much as we are with ours. 5th wheel towing is like no other. I love it, but just always remember to take it slow as this thing is tall (13'6").

Thanks for well wishes. Yes it is tall. We are camped out near home and still finding out where everything goes. Can't believe how much we carry around with us. We are putting screen door handles on and looking into that bottom step solution. Grand Design really needs to put 4 steps on these things We are both tall and that first step is still a BIG step, especially several transfer loads into the move, but we do love it and God willing, will have many amazing adventures in our new trailer.

Traveling Piper we went to Walmart and got a $10 plastic stool and it works great! When we don't need it we just throw it in the garage. I'm not sure I would want a permanent 4 step because where we are now our steps are already close to the ground and 4 steps would not extended all the way.
Pros and cons!!!

Agreed. I can see some campsites that have a high patio slab interfering with a 4th step.

We have one of those bamboo shower steps for outside that we use when the step is to high. When the unit is parked in my yard, the 4th step when sit on the ground. So I don't mind not having it myself.

OK we wondered about that. We thought we would be at this height on first step all the time. Good to know it won't always be a huge first step.

We have one of those exercise steps. It is one that you can just pull up on to adjust the height. It works great for whatever height you need. If not needed I just put it under the trailer till we leave and then set it inside the door.
