My wife and I are thinking of picking the Solitude 369RL, but we have not seen any pictures of the rig or seen one in real life. The only pictures we have seen are on the GD website and are pretty limited. If anyone has a 2016 369, I would appreciate some pictures of the outside and the front. Man! This fence is starting to get a little painful

Thanks for the Link! Did not think of that. Ok, here is a question. My current RV is 35'1". The 369RL is basically 39'. Has anyone made such a drastic change in length when upgrading and had issues towing, backing up etc. We camp at a lot of state parks in Texas, and I would be concerned that I could not get into them due to the extra length (cornering and such). Thanks for your replies.

I went from 26' to 39', so yes there is a little more care involved. Biggest problem comes though at gas stations, needing to fill up diesel while traveling. Thank goodness for Flying J and RV dedicated islands.

Does the back up camera help? If so, which camera is the best in your opinion?

I don't find that the back up camera helps a lot. It is such a 3 dimensional space around the trailer as you back into a site and you have so many blind spots down the sides of the trailer (unless you are going straight back) . . . that nothing replaces a spotter who knows how to use hand signals and how to stay in view in a mirror :).

This is our first RV ever (two years into this now) and we have gone from selecting only pull through sites . . . to feeling good if we got it backed in no matter how many tries . . . to now being disappointed if we don't get it backed in perfectly on the first try :).

I have a 50 gallon reserve tank in the bed of my truck. I've towed only a couple of times where I've need to refuel prior to reaching my destination. That is a big help.

We most always gas up at a truck stop right in the truck diesel lanes. Have never had a problem and easy peasy!!

Sandi, it can't be easy positioning the larger truck nozzle to not splash any fuel back at you. Is it just taking extra care while you're pumping?

Tom we have never experienced a problem. My husband is the one who usually does the filling but truthfully I have never even noticed that there was a size difference and I'm usually right there with him??? We are usually at Pilot or Flying J.

We have the 369rl. We love it. As far as length there should be no problems, Just have your wife watch the tail swing on the trailer when in tight areas.

Robert,

As "Texans," we use the Texas state parks and the National Forest campgrounds often when traversing this great state (we're currently rained-in at the Cagle Recreation area in the Sam Houston National Forest). We've had more problems with tight spaces in the Texas state parks than in the National Forest areas. It seems that many of the Texas state parks were designed and built by the CCC in the 1930s - some later - and rigs the size of ours just didn't exist then. The curved loop pull-through sites at many of the Texas parks are the most problematic - and we're only 36' long and not as wide as the Solitudes. With practice it can be done, though.

As usual, I have to agree with "other Rob" and say that my wife with the two-way radio is much safer than relying on the backup camera alone.

The floor plan of the 369RL is identical to that of our Reflection 337RLS but slightly larger. We have found it to be the perfect layout for us for full-timing (except for the lack of pontoons this week in east central Texas...).
